Default Here is how one of our allies treat their citizens.

Why do we get in bed with antiquated monarchies? Didn't we revolt against a King???

I wonder if Glen Beck thinks we should treat the teacher demonstrators in Wisconsin in the same way.

BTW, Our big navy fleet is stationed In Bahrain. I think we need to move.

You post this ambiguois nonsense constantly. What's your point? Are you attacking the right? Or, are you questioning the wisdom of the government that provides your paycheck? Either way, your screwed. You clearly demonstrate your hypocrisy every time you bring out some scenario that you don't share the view of the powers that be, but shamelessly cash your paycheck provided by such.

I guess machineguning unarmed people marching in the street bother's me. Our Navy is giving the murderous King money. I guess that bothers me too. The king nor the Navy have anything to do with my paycheck. You can go back to sleep now Charlie

I'm completely confused. Who are you mad at? Or is it just the Gov't in general? The President is the one that should comment on this action if anyone, and yet you want to know what Glenn Beck thinks about the Teachers striking in Wisconsin....

Lets visit what happened in Bahrain first. The government has stated no protesting and the people continue to break the law and do so. So at what point is the government allowed to use deadly force to enforce the law and or prevent a riot? Little known fact: once the riot act has been read the use of deadly force is authorized if deemed necessary here in the US. But back to Bahrain; should we let the protesters march up to the palace and have one blow himself and a bunch of innocents up? Maybe just go on an uncontrolled rampage and tear up government building, civilian property, maybe hurt innocent law abiding citizens? If they say leave or we'll shoot, and then follow through with that action what is wrong with it. They fired tear gas first and that didn't work. Even the first shots didn't work until they realized they were "real bullets". Want to bet that the next time the gov't says leave or we'll shoot, they leave?

Now as for the teachers. A legal strike is one thing. Manipulating children to protest what the kids don't even have the capacity to understand should be criminal. Teachers are hired to educate and protect those children. Some teachers teach because they want to better the world and educate people. Obviously some are just in it for the money and don't care if they use the children they are supposed to be teaching, as long as the teachers get what they want. Or is it what the union wants? Isn't that whole mess because some lawmakers think they should use a form of merit based pay raises and not just seniority or blanket raises. I can see why the ones that don't care about the children they teach are concerned and protesting, they probably wouldn't merit a raise anyways. They should cut all the teachers wages by whatever the union dues are. Then they could make the same money if they chose to loose the union. What does the union do to better education?

The US policy of meddling in the Mideast for years for oil corporate interests has put us in the position of supporting those Kings, Shahs, dictators, generals, and other tyrants who suppress their people. Our need to be buddies with these types is one reason why America is hated by the average citizen in that part of the world. Our diplomats who supposedly are spreading Democracy are accurately perceived as phonies.
The Arab people are now fed up eating dirt while their corrupt leaders live in gilded splendor. Shooting people in the street is only an aggravating action that will expedite getting the royal family either strung up or fleeing for their lives with their stolen loot.
I'm hoping Obama steps up and pulls our fleet and support out of their brutal little fiefdom. Iran is being portrayed as the hero nation in support of the people while we are portrayed as the backers of the corrupt ruling class. Ironic isn't it? The statue of liberty must be silently weeping.

Bahrain is one of the most progressive countries in the middle east, one of the reasons iran and the fundelmentalist are targeting their royal family. And so what if they have some corruption in their government. Who are we to talk? When congress circumvents the constitution to get laws passed, courts are making laws, and big money has their hand so deep in washington's pocket they can use the politicians as pupets you want us to tell a monarch that is trying to fight religious hard liners and make his contry modern how to dream his own dream? Get real. A lot of troups have spent R&R time in Bahrain because of it's western influences and the fact we are not viewed as unwanted influences. What do you think the people that are protesting are wanting the gov't there to do? They want them to shut their borders and go back to Sharia law. Figure out what the fight is about before you pick a side. Or are you gullible enough to believe they just want to be accepted so they can sit around and sing KumBiYah? The protesters that were shot had no problem breaking the laws, but they want to cry help we're being oppressed when they are protesting for the right to oppress the entire country with their religious beliefs. Like I said, the next time the gov't there says leave or we'll open fire; I bet they leave.

I have to agree. In so many ways America has lost all moral authority we once had. Thanks to the valueless corporate fascism running our nation.

But I can talk! I still say that quickly resorting to gunning unarmed demonstrators down no matter what their cause is the worst form of tyranny. I know you are impressed. I think this was a huge error similar to when unarmed Kent State students were shot and killed by American troops. Certain events become turning points. Arabia is spinning in circles with turning points right now. For better or worse the people will prevail and the Kings and tyrants will be cast out finally. No matter what we do..

Yeah, anyone who chooses a profession that pays $40k to $50k a year is really in it just for the money.

Yeah you are right....working 8- 3 each day and only 9 months out of the year.......Most of the teachers were making 100K with working the equivilant to a private sector full time employee.....funny how you omit the facts.
