    Default US Senate/Harry Reid

I was surfing around the channels this morning, (Az time), and decided I would tune into the "US Senate" which I believe is broadcast by C Span. As I watched, Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, started a diatribe about HR 1, the Republican House of Representatives bill directed at "cuts" in spending. All together, this bill, cuts 61 Billion from areas of Gov't spending that the Repubs feel is wasted tax dollars... Now please realize I listened to Reid with an open mind, well, as open as possible while trying to listen to Harry's SLOW, almost retarded speech patterns... I was totally amazed at what this corksoaker had to say.... Bold faced lies, half truths, moronic "real life" examples of how these proposed "cuts" in Gov't spending would affect the American people, mainly seniors. Can this idiot really be that dense? Remember, I was really trying to listen with an open mind. Trying hard to see any logic at all in what the powerful "left majority" leader had to say. He singled out Social Security cuts in such a way to make the listener, (me), think the Nation's seniors would suffer extreme hardships due to the Repub's HR 1 bill.... I think the number was a Billion, or 5 Billion, (doesn't matter what the exact number was/is), to be cut from the Social Security Administration's budget, NOT the recipients of SS benefits, but the SS administration.... Not a single dime would be cut from retirees, just a trimming of the FAT in the offices of SS. To listen to Reid's spin, you would think retirees were looking at a 50% benefit cut!!! Then, later in the same rambling, ultra slow mumbling speech, he noted, sort of "backdoored", that the cuts would hamper the SS admin ability to "process retirees claims", ( a statement he had no way of verifying, no actual personnel cuts, just a wild statement directed to vilify any attempts by the right to upset the gravytrain of Gov't agencies waste), but never "unrung" the bell about starving seniors suffering because of the proposed budget cuts..... What a tool, what a "talking out the side of his neck" outright liar !!!!!!! AND, of course NOW he wants to bring up "Bipartisan" compromise, working together!!! I really tried to see his point of view, but he never had one, just politics as usual... How could the citizens of Nevada be so blind to this windbag's agenda? Sure, cut spending, but don't even think about cutting any "entitlements" enjoyed by Gov't employees!!! I guess this morning was a wasted 15-20 minutes I'll never get back.......

Well, he was standing there for a long time, but all total, he probably only spoke for 3-4 minutes, and only 10 or 15 words made any sense....

Thanks, but no thanks. After algore and obama, those really don't mean anything anymore....

All politicians are guilty of doom and gloom when talking about the opposition it seems, but Harry takes it to a sickening level. the guy is a complete crook and a boar. How he stays in office is beyoind belief, bad TP opponent or not. Harry stole the last election form all I've read.

Ray, I hope you don't see the turd in your dreams......It's dangerous watching and listening to the dingy drone as long as you managed.......

Harry Reid is the product of the Union vote.
Not a lot of thought, reasoning or logic - just voting for their man.
Too bad really since they all look collectively less intelligent every day.

Really nothing new is it? Typical Democrat voting strategy that by now they probably find no fault in.

Here they load them up on busses, take them to vote, and then treat them to a fried chicken box.

I seem to remember when they were writing the HC bill they would not allow any Reps in the room and even changed the locks to keep them out. And now they have the nerve to talk bipartisanship. How novel of them. Just another example of how twisted the flip flopping weasel Dems are.

I was refering the Democrats as using scare tactics to sway the votes. Unions have been doing it for years.
