Default Palin says "No thank you" to presidential candidacy now

Mainstream media and liberal pukes alike will be weeping, wailing and gnashing over this announcement.

In the beginning I supported Palin for what she had accomplished. As of late she became little more than another cash grabbing media ______. You can fill in the blank. In all honesty, it's a little disappointing.

I lost all respect for Palin when she resigned.

Given the circumstances to that decision, the real reasons, I didn't have a problem with that.

I could be mistaken what those are.

If they are the reasons I thought, which was to hault unwarranted accusations causing investigations that cost the tax payers, my statement stands. There are ways around it, like passing legislation to have penalties to the accuser to pay the bill if they are proven to have no basis.

In a nutshell the way Alaska law reads, Palin was individually responsible for defending any type of allegations against her in office. So, she bowed out because the cost of defending the bs allegations would have bankrupted her family. There are many sources you can reference, without taking my amateur analysis.

Ah yes forgot it was all on her and not the taxpayer.

So you're saying there was nothing that the state legislatures or she could do to fix a broken system?

Don't you find it strange that when she resigned all 17 ethics charges against her suddenly disappeared? The lib pukes filed charge after charge against her for nothing more than trumped up phony ethics violations that she had to defend on her own at her own expense and with the continuing, endless and baseless charges she could not execute her duties as Gov. For the good of the state she represented and the honor of the office she held her only option was to resign.

No I don't find it strange, we all know what it was. She could have made efforts to defend herself in another way, like the legislation passing new laws, but she resigned instead.

Maybe God told her confidentially that he's putting in Obama for a second term and not to bother ?

We all know what was? Perhaps you know something I don't. If you do please tell me, I'd really like to know. And passing new laws? Against what? And don't you think that would look a bit odd if Palin tried to pass laws to protect herself? If you are going to point fingers and blame someone why don't you point your finger at the root cause of the problem? As I see it the root cause was a very small left wing Democrat group who's only purpose was to create bad press, harrass and discredit someone who they feared and loathed.....Whats your take? Oh and BTW even if she beat one or twenty of the phony ethics charges they would have trumped up even more. Ever hear of frivolous lawsuits? No matter what the frivoloity of the suit one still needs to defend themselves and in some cases the frivolous one wins.....See the spilled coffee suit against Mc Donalds for just one stupid example.

We all know it was bullcrap alligations.

She let a small minority run her out of office. She let the few minority tell the majority of Alaksa to shove it when it comes to what they voted for. Who cares how it looked in her attempts to defender herself her voters knew they were bullcrap. She had a duty to the voters and she let them down. The legilsature and her could have fixed the issue. Instead she ran from it and the minority ruled the day. That's not what I want in a President, sorry.

Your argument makes sense if you believe the Dems truly fear her running for president- Its my opinion the Dems do not fear her at all. I think alot of long time Republicand jumped ship last election when they saw McCain as a feeble old man with health problems, who may die while holding office and Palin would be president and that scared the shit outta them. I think the Dems would love it if Sarah ran and did LOTS of interviews!

You said it yourself...."She had a duty to the voters" and with her spending all her work time defending against these stupid frivolous lawsuits there would have been no time for her to execute her duties as governor. I doubt they have night court for these types of conflicts. Unfortunatly even one person can file stupid lawsuits against anyone, it doesn't even have to be a group. If there was any validity to these ethics suits/violations why did they not persue them even after Palin's resignation? Even if there was a shred of truth to any of them it would have been the final nail in the coffin of Palin's career and her asperations of any sort of political life. I'm sure that these so-called "watchdog citizens" that were so concerned about ethics in Alaskan government would have loved nothing more that to see her in a orange jumpsuit and leg shakles.
