    Default Establishment Republicans

I hear a lot of talk about them. Who are they? I never hear any names.

I usually do not post in this section, so I will let everyone know that I am very conservative. Just so know one thinks I am on the religious right I will also tell you I am agnostic.

I would say people like Bloomberg, John McCain, Speaker Boehner, Lindsey Graham, Marie Landrieu, I bet you could add Both Perry and Romney into this list depending on who you ask. I know you didn't ask for a definition, but it's subjective in my view. Basically anyone who is more concerned about status quo, re election and compromise instead of doing the jog their constituents sent them there to do. That would be my definition of an establishment republican.

They are generally not conservative and do not hold true conservative values in terms of the governments role in our socieity. They only care about attracking the independent base because they think it wins them elections.

They are referred to as "Beltway Republicans" as inside the Washington DC beltway. They are ol' farts that control the Republican party based on the premise that 'We have controlled the party our way for years and will continue to do so until we say otherwise.' They are the same bunch that ran Bob Dole for president because "He was a good solid party member and it was his turn" They have little interest in winning elections as long as they get to maintain their power. The stupid Democrats think the TEA party came about in response to [among other things] idioic policies set by Dems...The TEA party came about because the old crony system the Beltway Republicans have used for years is no longer accepped. They do not represent the grass roots of the Republican Party.

x2. I'll add Bush 41 to that list. He allowed taxes to be raised, because he didn't really believe in tax cuts.
His father was a Senator, and the Senate makes deals on easily splittable differences over golf and cigars. As long as they keep getting richer, they don't care what happens. Those fat cats getting rich off some cushy govt. job, or lucrative govt. contract are no better than lowly welfare recipients.

If we wanted to compile a complete list, I think it would be much shorter to do a "who's not" list. Identify the real Tea Party Reps, add most of the freshman class........ that's pretty much it I think. One of the reasons we have a Tea Party.

My bad, you're right. I did this list off the top of my head while eating a sandwich. I just remember her from the Health Care bribes, and I thought she was a Repub.

    Mitt Romney is one.

Worst focus group offender of them all.
