    Default Fixing the debt problem

Warren Buffett's quotes about the debt ceiling and "Congressional Reform Act of 2011"

    Clear and concise ...

Please read to the end. Interesting and important to know.

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best
    quotes about the debt ceiling:

"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law
that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all
sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election. The 26th
amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months
& 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in
1971...before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to
the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the
    land...all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of
twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do
    likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the
message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.

    *Congressional Reform Act of 2011*

    1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office
and receives no pay when they are out of office.

    2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All
funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security
system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system,
and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for
    any other purpose.

    3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans
    do.

    4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay
will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

    5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the
same health care system as the American people.

    6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American
    people.

    7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective
1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen
made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor,
not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours
should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take
three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is
    time.

    lets send it forward

    Default Debt vs Balanced budget

I STRONGLY agree with the part about "no balance" no job... Either CUT spending to balance the budget, (you remember a budget, that thing the Senate is suppose to submit EVERY year)...or be a part of the FLUSHING of DC for a whole NEW crew to take the reins of the Country..... Both branches of CONGRESS and the WHITEHOUSE become ineligible to run again unless the budget is balanced, period.... The other factors of this message are all OK too, especially the part about Social Security for everyone of those in power, just like all of America......

You guys, I would agree to this BUT the problem is that you will never get the tit suckling government parasites in D.C. to buy into this...

IF you wanna see how possible/likely something of this nature is to pass through Congress and the Senate... Just talk to a "progressive" and try to get them to agree....

Lets see, first you start with the bill in congress, then it goes to the people for a 2/3 vote, the ratified by the congress. What the hang up here. DUH!

Funny thing about all this is that the dummocrates bitch like whiney kids that the tea party was stone walling on the debt ceiling when all along they were sent there with a a mandate. Imagine if the voters were to send more of them, and they stonewalled for a bill for an amendment. The free loaders of the country would cry a river.

Why is it the dummocraps don't get it. It not stonewalling, or unbending. Its a demand from the people!

Assbama said he knows the country needs tax reform but it is impossible to get thru congress. I would have said the same thing about Obamacare and it made it. Maybe the dipshit was working on the wrong thing when he had his super majority. Maybe he should have put the country first instead of his legency, which is now shit!

First off, the Senator/Congressman that introduces this bill will be an American hero!
Second off, we spend as much in entitlements to the able bodied as we spend on our military.
Next, our government continues to expand in a time when our private sector continues to shrink.
Also, we continue to have an illegal alien problem only as long as the benefits for them continue. This will stop the day the entitlements stop. Period!
Lastly, congressional representatives who don't support such a measure as the 28th Amendment need to be replaced.
Balancing the budget is far easier than Washington wants to believe. Cut foreign aid to countries that hate us. Defund KenyanKare. Eliminate all union representation in the public sector (there's nobody to negotiate against them anyway and they are way out of control.) Lastly, get rid of this meathead in office who actually believes he can spend America into prosperity.
The best things in life aren't things!

Wouldn't the best way to get our debt under control is to start by QUIT BORROWING AND SPENDING!!!!!!!! A simple little thing the left just can't get. If every business in this country opperated like the gov there would be no business's. Seems only the lft thinks the gov can opperate in a completely irresponsible way and continue to survive. I guess they just hink eventually they can rape the tax payer to pay off the debt as they can't turn a buck themselves to pay thier debt.
If you voted for Obama to prove you were not racist, then you better find someone else to vote for to prove your not stupid.
