Default C.A.R.B. Injects Cap & Trade into the California economy

I feel sorry for the Cal. folks as costs will soon skyrocket. How these self serving a-holes see this as a benefit to society I have no idea.

This is Sarcasm...........Some unknown entity figures how many carbon credits you are allowed. If you produce less carbons emissions you can sell your excess to someone who can't stay within the set (still not sure who sets the standards) limits. OK I have the solution. We all start manufacturing businesses that produce nothing, we sell are credits and make money for nothing. Sounds like the best place in the food chain would be the broker. Now who could the broker possibly be?????? Geeze just think, every time we exhale we produce CO2, you know we could sell are credits to professional athletes who use more than the average person. God there is no end in the ways to make money off this scam. Why didn't I think of this earlier.....
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists

Update Found my old Sanger 12/7/14 in Reno.

    FYI:

The head of CARB..Mary Nichols is a phucking air-head. She actually has a law-degree from Harvard or Yale, I have no phucking idea anyone as stupid as she is could achieve such a thing.

    From the States Web-site:

Mary D. Nichols is Chairman of the California Air Resources Board, a post she has held since 2007.

Nichols has devoted her entire career in public and nonprofit service to advocating for the environment and public health. In addition to her work at the Air Board, she has served as Assistant Administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Air and Radiation program under President Clinton, Secretary for California's Resources Agency from 1999 to 2003 and Director of the Institute of the Environment at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Her priorities as chairman include moving ahead on the state's landmark climate change program (AB 32), steering the Board through numerous efforts to curb diesel pollution at ports and continuing to pass regulations aimed at providing cleaner air for Southern California and the San Joaquin Valley. She values innovation, partnerships and common-sense approaches to addressing the state's air issues.

The Board is supported by a professional staff of scientists, engineers, economists, lawyers and policy experts, with an annual operating budget of more than $860 million.
    ********************************

She is a one-woman Wrecking ball. I've spoken in-front of her several times....phucking nut case. She believes that every job that leaves California will be replaced with a "Green Job" because California is going to be at the forefront of Green jobs. Do you think she has heard of Solyndra( sp)?

I will repeat she is a phucking nut job with way to much power and influence. Arnold was an idiot to appoint her to the position.

CARB was not established to be controlled by enviro-nut cases. it was set up to be balanced enviro- business. It took a shit about 15 yrs ago.

Ms. Nichols and her "nut-job" staff can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned. These people are just phucking nuts.

" The law requires the state to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. The cap-and-trade element covers about 20 percent of that goal, with the majority of the other reductions coming from limiting the amount of carbon in fuel and requiring more efficient vehicles, renewable energy mandates and energy efficiency requirements"

They all believe we will achieve this with Green energy........have these idiots been paying attention to anything over the past 3 years ?

She thinks "Green Companies" will move here to replace them. You can ask her and the CARB board as I have: " ...and you truly believe you can encourage manufacturing companies to move here and pay twice the national avg rate for utilities, over the avg national rate for insurance, over the avg national rate for labor and be competitive on the world market?"

    Crickets....................phucking crickets......................

she and a few of her staff would do the State a favor if they went deep sea fishing about 100 miles off shore and the boat got hit by a rouge wave

Read in the paper this weekend that out of the 7 states that were considering this crap all others backed off due to the overwhelming belief that it will hurt jobs....leave it to CA to be the only ones dumb enough to go though with it....My wife and I, my bro in-law and his wife and 4 other couples (note all sucessful, multiple home owners etc.) all talk about how we are getting the F... out of this state when our kids go off to college (Im pushing my kids now with little suggestions about out of state colleges) eight more years for me

How do we have any idea how much CO2 was emitted in 1990? Who will figure this out?

It is just another BULLSHIT TAX. They will give us enough credits to get through 1/2 a month and then need to buy more. At Auction at that.

Here's yet another scenario where the liberals in California get what they deserve while the conservative minority gets hosed - big time. This is akin to the Sierra Club's actions who should have a motto of "Kill all people to save nature."

Fuzzy math, very very fuzzy math. More than likely done by the same MIT grad who was trying her best to "back-into" a number for diesel emissions for two years she worked on it. It all blow-up on her when a Professor from UC Berkley just asked the states refineries how much diesel fuel the produce....her number was exagerated by x 4.6

She probably worked on the same modeling for this project.

Nope! They just asked Al Gore. He knows how much and where all the carbon in the world is, what its hooked up with, and the exact potential threat it carries. He has been all over this problem ever since he finalized the workings of the internet and launched that. I believe for no reason other than that he needed a media vehicle to scare the world to death about global warming.
