Default Troops Coming home? Sure, if you call Kuwait home !

Looks like our ruling American Military & Industrial cabals will not be denied!
Sorry parents, wives, and children of servicemen, there is just too much oil money and war profiteering opporunity left in that sand pile to be coming home anytime soon !!!

Sunday, 30 October 2011 16:28 U.S. is planning buildup in P. Gulf after Iraq exit, NYT

Oct 30 - The Obama administration plans to bolster the American military presence in the Persian Gulf after it withdraws the remaining troops from Iraq this year, according to officials and diplomats.
That repositioning could include new combat forces in Kuwait able to respond to a collapse of security in Iraq or a military confrontation with Iran.
The plans, under discussion for months, gained new urgency after President Obama’s announcement this month that the last American soldiers would be brought home from Iraq by the end of December.
Ending the eight-year war was a central pledge of his presidential campaign, but American military officers and diplomats, as well as officials of several countries in the region, worry that the withdrawal could leave instability or worse in its wake.
“We will have a robust continuing presence throughout the region, which is proof of our ongoing commitment to Iraq and to the future of that region, which holds such promise and should be freed from outside interference to continue on a pathway to democracy,” Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said in Tajikistan after the president’s announcement.
During town-hall-style meetings with military personnel in Asia last week, the secretary of defense, Leon E. Panetta, noted that the United States had 40,000 troops in the region, including 23,000 in Kuwait, though the bulk of those serve as logistical support for the forces in Iraq, the New York Times reported./-

So what Obama said really isn't true and another broken campaign promise. Just more smoke and mirrors from the Obama regime poised for reelection.

This clown has yet to preside over this country. He's too busy vacationing, golfing and mostly campaigning for another four years of lies and failed promises. Suppose the sheep will buy it this time?

Oh, by the way, my nephew is still in Iraq but will be reclassified from fighting forces to support staffing. His responsibilities and the threats he faces daily will not be changing whatsoever just his title so the Kenyan can say we no longer have fighting forces in Iraq. A bit deceptive, I'd say.

Let me see if I have this straight Z. The military, I.E. the generals, the penagon etc, basically over rode the POTUS's wishes and desires. The convinced the Commandor in Chief that they need to stick aropund the middle east. Its obvious this is against your best wishes. But the POTUS? Really/ He needs some back bone.
When Gen McArthur suggest to the POTUS that they invade China, and was somewhat subordinate, Truman fired his ass. When did the Potus lose the power to fire military commandors?

Still think that POS in the oval office doesn't have a hand and arm up the back of his suit?

In the 1950s ret. general and President Eisenhower specifically warned America about the potential power of the Military/Industrial complex. The power of this military cabal, Wallstreet (Goldman Sachs), International banking, Soros types, and countless lobbists have completely usurped the ability of Congress or the Executive branch to do much without their direction and/or approval. If Obama wants to be re-elected he goes along with their wishes. This is why Republican and Democrat presidents and congresses always have very similar policies when it comes to big money generators like warfare, corporate subsidies, and foreign aid.

The Kuwaitis must be fearful that a coming Iraq civil war will spill across the border. Not to mention Iran running people thru there. So they have invited us to stay. Ok, now we have someplace to put the $billions of equipment we have over there already. We won't have to rent storage space, and it costs too much to ship it all home.

I can tell you are not a contractor who sees the BIG $$$$$ picture here!

    1. You know we'll leave billions of equipment and facilities in Iraq. Which means we'll then need to buy and build billions worth of new stuff in Kuwait! Can you say BIG FAT MONEY MAKING GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS!! sure you can. ( SBjet, psssst! inside info: buy Halliburton).

    2. By putting a nice big easy target base right there within range of primitive missles we'll lead with our chin to ignite any conflicts with Iran or Pakistan..(History shows we always need an excuse to start a war and nothing provolks a sucker punch like Uncle Sams fat ass, big nose, or chin !

    3. C'mon WW3 now thats a real money maker!
