And he further stated... "Now, I'm not saying I'm sure that was terrible policy, because a lot of those people who got homes still have them and they wouldn't have gotten them without that."

There is plenty of blame/responsibility to go around, including the homeowners.

Because of this policy we are at an all time foreclosure rate with people just walking away from loans, a lot more than have keep their homes. Seems we keep arguing about the same screwed up policy, but no one is taking responsibility for putting legislation in place that just screwed the taxpayer. And now they what to do more screwing. I don't see any benefit to what was done even if 10% have made good on their mortgages. Liberal thinking I guess, screw everyone to help the few....

Ask any illegal who bought a home under this rediculous plan of Franks and Dodds and they will tell you that congress put them in the home and the bank took it away.

Think I am kidding? Ask one!

The banks were FORCED against their WILL to give the unqualified loans! Didn't matter how long you had a job, what your credit score was, income, debt ratio... NONE of it!!!

Would you loan money to some one on the street that you've never met?

If the banks didn't KNOW this loans would fail, why was Goldman Sachs selling insurance policies(derivatives) that paid when the holders when they did?

Like buying a life insurance policy on the purchaser of a Ford Pinto

Then they were promised the taxpayer would bail them out.

Nice try, but I think you know me better than that. I didn't jump, I told friends not to and they did. I'm not happy about the policy or greedy/neady f-cks personal decisions. The quote was from Mr. Bloomberg. The responsibility needs to be shared.

Yet it was the gov who backed and ok'ed every one of those loans. You can cry till your blue in the face about spreading the blame, it will never change the fact that it all started with the gov. It all started with you. It all started with the corperation you work for.
If you voted for Obama to prove you were not racist, then you better find someone else to vote for to prove your not stupid.
