    Default Crooked Legislators

Did any of you guys see how members of the legislature make stock trades with insider information on 60 minutes tonight? The Judicial Branch and the Executive Branch have strict rules regarding conflicts of interest. The legislative branch is not restricted by these rules. These crooked bastards need to be run out of Washington.

Blindsided her big time...eyes darting around...brain in overdrive
trying to find her way around the reporter who she pretended to not
understand and he carefully reworded his question....and her final response way some bs about all the good things for ca..
Didn't think it was possible....all that money and she still gets more ugly every year

I like many others had suspicion shady shit was going on. However, this is the first real proof presented to the American people. Unlike many here, I like actual proof before I denounce something.

While these actions aren't illegal, they are certainly unethical. Hopefully enough people will be outraged so that it forces the Legislature to make rules forbidding these types of actions.

No it's not, that's a load of shit.

I was reading articles and watching tables of the "wealth" of congressmen explode in charts once they got elected. (Usually siting stocks)

Did you not see any of these in the past 10 years? I wasn't even 18 yet before I knew of this.

I guess you missed ALL the stories that lead up to H.R. 1148 as well?

    Stolen from Wiki:

"In May 2007, a bill entitled the "Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act, or STOCK Act" was introduced that would hold congressional and federal employees liable for stock trades they made using information they gained through their jobs and also regulate analysts or "Political Intelligence" firms that research government activities.[23] The bill has not passed.[24]"

    Default Redundancy.....

It has become so obvious that the term "Crooked Politician" is redundancy at it's worst.... I find it quite amusing that "Princes Nancy", the one that said she was going to "clean house" of the deception and underhanded dealings that go on in Congress, is neck deep in the exact thing she spoke so loudly against.....(not to mention her husbands dealings with financial institutions directly affected by Congressional decisions under her "Speaker-ship")
They're ALL a bunch of crooks, and I can only remember ONE that admitted it, NIXON, and he resigned the most powerful position on earth because of a stupid little misdemeanor breakin.. How about a Nationwide effort to "Occupy Congress" and have honest citizens appointed to watch over each member 24/7.....???? It would be interesting to see how long it took to corrupt those citizens into the depths of deception, and have their hands out.....

Yeah that's part of the problem. People in general will live up to the line of illegal action. You throw money in that mix and stand by. So do you over regulate a society or do you hope morals and ethics will play part in their decision????

Dennis DeConcini, democrat from Southern Arizona made a killing buying land in the path of the Central Arizona Project just prior the the Federal Government building it. He bought worthless land at a nickel on the dollar and the Feds, through condemnation/eminent domain proceedings, then purchased the property from him at top dollar. He was working closely with the Army Corps of Engineers with first class inside information on exactly where each leg of the canal would be located. He was also a member of the "Keating Five."

He was a filthy piece of scum. I went to school with his son and nephews. The whole family were scamming lying scumbags.
If you voted for Obama to prove you were not racist, then you better find someone else to vote for to prove your not stupid.

If you mean me? Sorry, I was too busy doing important stuff yesterday like being called names and arguing with 500BBC over a photo of a pathetic mental case loser shitting on an American Flag.....Like many, 5000BBC is not as outraged by the people who also are constantly shitting on the American flag. These people are all the well dressed, suave, family values , help the poor, church going, pious, asshole politicians and other powerful greedy criminals, the so called "elites", who run our government as an enterprise just to line their pockets. Even worse than making money for themselves and their crooked friends on insider information, they take money to enact policies which send our young men and women off to die fighting endless minor wars which are designed by crooked funding and contracting to maximize corporate profits for their political donors..........Our system of government is rotten to the core..... Keep electing the people with big corporate support and it will continue......

    Excellent post Ram
