    Default Movie; Inside Job

I guess this falls under "political" but it certainly is not rhetoric!....

Has anybody else had the opportunity to see (and learn) what has been put together in this documentary film? If you havent you owe yourself an opportunity to educate yourself a little bit on the American Financial Sector's complete and despicable demolition of this countrys' investment platform and quite possibly the worlds. Please see it then comment!

If you did not have ANY type of financial 'agreements' with any entity between 1970 and 2008 (retirement plans, IRAS, 401K, stocks, bonds, mortgages, car loans, student loans, credit cards) than it wouldnt have affected you at all. If you plan on having any of these things in your future, then it WILL affect you. So I think that includes most every human alive today.

Mind you... it has a bit of a leftist ploy and propagandizes the faults of (some) of the people they speak of but the truths of the matter are still present and should be known.

One of the things I think it certainly misses is the overlooking of congress' part in this whole entire matter. But maybe that is just ALREADY assumed! They passed the laws, at the request of lobbyists, at the requests of the banks, financial institutions, lenders, insurance companies, at the requests of the CEOs of all these firms and the Fed chairman and his underlings, and ultimately the President (many of them). And our higher-educational providers (finacials) are providing all the backup to continue perpetrating this manipulation of the markets as their general syllabus!...

Oh yea and Mr. Soros applies his opinion on a few things too.... which was a waste of film (IMHO)

There are so many players involved in this that should be in prison; but they are not and many of them continue to be involved in this Presidents Administration without a blink of the eye as to their responsibility in the past and what deviant actions they may play in our future. I really dont believe AT ALL that any government agency has any civilian's best interest in mind. If we dont rid ourselves of these "people" (and I use that term loosely) that continue to believe that it is OK to financially wipe out the good working citizens of this country for their own better good than our way of life and our children's and beyond is doomed to failure.

Something has to happen, "Occupation" isnt it, Tea-party is not focused on this matter, Nobody seems to realize that this is continuing to happen and our futures are at stake! This is as real as it gets....

I haven't seen it, but I did see an HBO movie called "Too Big To Fail" (about the bailouts). It had good information about the games the Investment Banks were playing. It was also a left leaning movie with many extremely liberal actors, but I it did make some good points.

Where did you get the movie? I would like to see it.

Too Big To Fail was based on a book by the same name, and much of it was fictionalised. I'm not saying something similar to what they portrayed didn't happen, but no one knows what happened behind those closed doors besides the people that were there, or other high ranking bankers and officials.

You can probably get Inside Job at your local video store. Here is a little about it:

If you can bring yourself to watch it, might I suggest "Capitalism: A Love Story." It goes into the same stuff, presenting info on how politicians and the financial industry are in cahoots. It also has some funny scenes where Michael Moore makes a complete jackass out of himself.

    Default Inside Job

We watched it some time ago and I highly recommend everyone rent it.

Here's a thread where some discussed it a few months ago.

I got it from Netflix, but im sure its available just about anywhere, Redbox, Blockbuster, etc.... This is a doumentary with some of the people that would speak about it. Most of the real 'criminals' refused to be interviewed. Paulson, Berneke, Greenspan, etc.... the list is real long.

I would like to make this thread about what we the people can do about this. I am hopeful that with the collective wisdom that seems to be present on this board... that something can come together and get a fire started that is going to burn down the capitol!.... These men and women should not be able to hold any office or have a position of power in this country any longer.

Again call me crazy .... But this is some serious shit!!!! If we dont do anything about this than we are no better than the scumbags that sat and watched little kids get raped at Penn State! Thats not a j/k.

Thanks for clarifying that. I wasn't sure if you were j/k or not.

This will also piss you off. Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac lost $10 Billion (last quarter alone) and have lost $170 Billion to date. So what do you do? ......

    Wait For it......

Give the top executives $10 Million in bonuses. Here is another video from Frank & Brian (I work with them and they are great guys).
