Thumbs up Who does the land of Isreal belong to?

An Israeli Sense of Humour at UN set the record straight.

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly and made the world community smile.

    A representative from Israel began:
"Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Moses: When he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought, 'what a good opportunity to have a bath!' Moses removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water. When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestinian had stolen them"!

The Palestinian representative at the UN jumped up furiously and shouted, "What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren't even there then".

The Israeli representative smiled and said, "And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech......."
"An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life"

Who does any country's land belong to? The most recent occupant. Lands change hands often throughout history but possession will always equate to 90% of the law. The rest is semantics or the results of conquest.

.....and the justification for more wars and re-conquest !

So lets worry about our lands and not lands that have changed hands since before bibilical times and will continue to do so.

I was wondering when the anti-semite would rear his ugly head.

    What about the buffalo?

Somebody please ask z when we won previous world wars, why America, with it's greedy corporate control, didn't take any countries and land from any of these monumental victories. The only exception was enough land to bury the dead of those who who died in the defense of other nations out of goodness and bravery.

If any of the crap he spews was ever true we would control nearly all of Europe after WWI and WWII as well as much of the Pacific and Asia. Why didn't we take control of Russia when Reagan had his immense victory over the entire cold war? Why is Kuwait and Iraq not currently American sovereign soil? Where's the rights to all the oil Bush was supposed to be focused on rather than freeing a nation from yet another bad Hussein?

If we are as greedy and corporately controlled as he seems delusional enough to somehow believe, why did we risk so much to simply defend other nations from tyrants and not conquer them all, while we proved to be so unquestionably victorious?

He won't understand. Such concepts are beyond his comprehension.

Try to focus on the original post! In six posts this went from a Mideast Israel / Palistinian land issue to buffalo, Indians since 1492, Both World Wars, Occupying Russia and half the world, Greed and corporate issues, and anti-semitism. .....BTW, ADHD is treatable. Next visit be sure to ask your Doctors about meds...

right....so when "god" plunked down Moses and the Israelites in the only area in the entire middle east that didnt have oil- it seemed he didnt have many if any neighbors....

It also doesn't seen the palestinians did much "land improvement" like removing rocks from the fields, investing in a water and sewage systems etc....but they sure would like it all now that its been improved upon by other peoples money.

Docs last 2 posts were dead on the money and you know it to be 100% fact. He asked a simple question and you have no answer for it. Why? Because your are full of shit and always have been. just stating the obvious facts zombie. Your a shit stirring dumbass. Plain and simple.

who does the land refered to as Israel belong to? It belongs to the Israelis until some one big enough and bad enough comes along and kicks them out.Through out history this has happened to the jews at least a half dozen times. And every time the "new" occupant has claimed it is their land.
Three of those times the jews were actually removed from the land. Funny, whos on the land now? Its not a tough question zombie.

Actually Doc's first post made sense and was not a question. I simply added to it about people fighting all the time over land and with my usuall position of why do we need to be involved iin Mideset land disputes... Perfectly sane comments by both of us..

His post # 8 went into his usual diatribes attacking me and all over the map and having very little to do with the original Mideast land dispute issue.

Then you come on with your usual name calling stupidy .. ... gn7, Sometimes I think you just like to be an angry blowhard to hear your head rattle

zombie, lets face it. You like being called names. You prove the point with your walking brain dead user name. It fits you to a tee. Brain dead zombies are morons by definition. don't like it, change your user name to Einstein or shut the phook up.
Your whole "corporate greed" mantra of the issues in the middle east are tiresome, and old. You have no real knowledge of the issues there, just the same old tired bullshit rhetoric. We are only there for the money and the wars, al wars are corporate greed. god its getting old.

We are involved in the middle east for a number of reasons. Corporate greed is one. It doesn't START wars, but it can't be denied that it is a BIG reason we get involved.
But zombie, at some point in your life you will come to realize that the middle east is a powder keg looking to go off. And it has been long before you and I were even born. Bet your ass that the next nuke set off on this earth will be in the middle east. Bank on it. And ANYBODY with a nano of brain in their head has known this for YEARS.
If you don't believe the middle east is the most volitale spot on earth, pull your head out of your ass.

Seems there are is a huge group of dumbshits in this world, (including you?) that think that Isreal is the problem. Well, genius, why doesn't some one just remove them from the problem. Who's looking to step up. What military should take on that task. Ours? Do you know of another military thats up to the task? They kick the shit out of 3 Arab countries in 6 days the last time the towel heads tried. They would have totally destroyed all 3 of their militaries if we hadn't stopped them.
Isreal is fast becoming a pain in the worlds ass according to many. (you included?) This is something that MILLIONS have know was coming. they are not going to give up that land zombie. And the world needs to wake up to that fact. They see it as the land they were removed from by force, and they have recovered it, never to lose it again.
Would you feel any different if it was the U.S.?

All land was SOMEBODY elses at some point. Today, it belongs to the Isrealis. Deal with it.

I would add that a big part of the reason Israel launched the pre-emptive offensive was our failure to address, through diplomatic means, the build up of troops along the Egypt, Syrian, and Jordanian borders, as well as the expulsion of the UNEF by Nassar.

We drug our feet and Israel went off. They did it then, and can do it now. (Iran sound familiar?)
If we hadn't of stopped them 6 days later, and made them give back the land on ALL FRONTS that they taken, there would be no arguing about it today as the State of Israel would be far bigger than it is!
(Of course, a lot of pissed off Arabs would have tried to take it back by now, and who knows, WWIII might have already been in the books....)
