    Default MJ

I had an interesting discussion wit a guy to day on legalizing it and more.I am no prude, tried it once and just was not my deal, and sure have no negative feelings of those who enjoy it,other than the Smoking aspect which I gave up 35 yrs. ago.I only drink beer and do not drink wine or hard liquor.I do have several friends who smoke MJ and swear by it as no hangovers, quick buzz etc. That is fine just not my deal.I know it does help cancer victims and understand legal now,but let's leg the Cigarette Companies and the Government Legalize it and get their greedy hands on the $'s.I can not imagine how many good people are in Prison for the simple crime of MJ having a pipe, etc.I am not talking about sellers just hard working people who enjoy Pot rather than Booze. This is sickening, Prisons filled with non-violent (CRIMINALS) ?

Why could it not be a BA content if driving operating,or in public?

This country could make $'s of it and let's be real it is ALL ABOUT THE $'s
I feel if alcohol was still banned it would be a totally different story, and the agenda should clean out Prisons of people who are not ? Save $'s,create $'s and create jobs!!

    BTW!!

I am probably one of the most Conservative people you will meet,BUT I will go out on a limb and say this begs in these days = JUST COMMON SENSE.

Careful you're sounding a little too progressive here .......I think it should be legal but in limited comercial ways. Meaning big corporations cannot get involved! Limit any entity to a max gross revenue of say $50,000.00 per year. Keep the industry diversived into many small legal operations. Growing your own would be the same as home brewed beer. Strive to keep prices low so the still illegal weed brought in by Mexican smugglers will not make money.....which will end the criminal smuggling.

How many "small legal operations" can I own? I could subdivide my land out in separate LLCs and make a killing!!!!!

To be honest, I thought MJ would be legalized at least by Clinton's second term.

Interesting topic, particularly for me at this time. I was thinking of the practical aspects.

As many here know, I have a lot of broken stuff, which translates to various pains and other issues. Added to that is the recent stress of the goofy boss who wants to lay me off after i brought in a bunch of money, so I've had this headache and nausea for about a month. I went to worker's comp and they did NOTHING. Eventually they upped my anti-anxiety medication dosage, which did NOTHING. I went to the chiropractor on my own, which works for a while. After I hadn't slept for two weeks, the kids conspired to bring me a cupcake over Thanksgiving. A $10 red velvet cupcake, with an herbal flavoring. I ate half, and slept like a baby. Ate the other half the next night, and again, slept in!

Last week I took the plunge. I visited a doctor, and got my medical card. I then got a tiny bit at the collective next door, and a little pipe. My headache is gone. That was Friday, this is Tuesday, and it hasn't caused me any side effects, although I felt a little strange on Friday when I tested it.

I still have a little tension, but no nausea. I may put the head of a pin in the pipe tonight if the headache doesn't go away. For you chronic sufferers, it may be the ticket. I know I won't pass a drug test, but then, I knew I wouldn't anyway, since I take multiple controlled substances in pill form issued by conventional medicine every day.

Sorry you are having trouble, hkunz. I hope it works for you. I watched my aunt suffer for months through chemo. I would have gotten her some if I would have thought she would have used it. My friend had gave some to his mom when she was going through the same thing, and it gave her some relief and helped her nausea.

    Good luck!

I would think some nice DARK GREEN butter would be a good alternative and very very helpful since ingesting the kind herb is longer lasting... Saute' some in pure unsalted butter and try it on a half slice of toast... Ease into it though...

I agree that for pains like yours that it will be helpful and a far better alternative than Opiate type pain meds...

The problem with green butter is that I have to take it in the house, and I'm not sure my wife is ready for that. She knows I got a card, but "out of sight, out of mind"....

Yeah, I'm not sure the opiates make it hurt less, or just make it so you don't care as much about it hurting. The tiny, and I mean very tiny, bit I put in the bowl made the pain stop, and it keeps on working. With opiates, I have to be on a regular schedule, 4 or 5 times a day on one, a special morning one, and a pair in the evening. Don't miss or forget a single one, the withdrawl sucks, almost worse than the original pain.

Now that you know that, aren't you glad I have a fast boat and run up the river in it?

But hey, it keeps me from driving drunk......

Im an old school dope smoker from way back, I quit when I decided that i didnt want to lie to my kids about it OR put my family/home/cars/guns/toys at risk... IF I can't do it legally I wont do it... I know the positive and negative sides of it... I dont like the effects or side effects of pain pills, I actually really HATE them... I have always considered weed safer/healthier than drinking...

I don't like seeing kids become chronic smokers and loose focus on life/work/family, it happens... On the other hand the kind herb does hold promise and being someone with serious shoulder/knee/back pain from football and wrestling I can see myself doing that when it becomes legal in Missouri...

As you already know, ingesting it is an entirely different ride than smoking... Easy as you go there...

The Navy had a no-tolerance policy, and I wanted to stay in. In the eleven years I've been retired, it has taken me some time to not worry about the Navy rules any more. Amazing how ingrained they become; it was my life, after all. I've been considering this for several years, but only recently could no longer take the pain. When I started realizing that people die from "giving up" when the aggregate pain all becomes too much, and I didn't want to die, I knew I needed to do something. I'm glad I did.

The cupcake was slow coming on, no "high" at all, but helped me sleep. I have another "edible" they gave me for joining the collective, I've considered trying it one of these nights. Each of the various strains, or sub-species, or hybrids, whatever they are, have a different medicinal properties. The folks at the collective (sounds positively Soviet, doesn't it?) are quite knowledgeable on the effects of each strain, which is helpful. There is literally a strain for headaches, another for nausea, one for bone pain, for chemo, and so on. Don't use this during the day, this will help wake you up, and so on and so forth. Amazing, and way different that in the 60's and 70's when you got what you got.

Oh, and no problems with it being laced with PCP, coke, or LSD. All pure, organic medicine.

Curious... do you appreciate that it was liberal and libertarian politics (BTW, Soros was a big MJ legalization supporter) that makes this MJ relief legally available to you?
I believe most conservatives still oppose MJ legalization and would have you locked up!

Like they say, the only way to put a Wall Street crook in jail is to plant a bag of weed on him and convince a jury that he married his gay lover.
