About a year ago President Obama stopped the importation for sale of M1 garands and M1 carbines that the US gave South Korea at the end of the Korean War because the administration believes they are "dangerous." These are the same weapons that helped win WW2, are considered by many to be pieces of history, are collected by many, and are used in target shooting programs to this day. What is ironic is you can buy the same type of guns from the Civilian Marksmanship Program which is a government program to foster rifle marksmanship and sell surplus military rifles to the public. Sen Paul of Kentucky is helping to lead the charge to allow these guns to come back home. These guns were made in America, by Americans, for Americans.
