I have a 26 Daytona with a 525efi and a imco two inch shorty. What size prop should I run?

My 2 cents....

Long answer:
1) First figure out application, based on the facts its an =ELIMINATOR= you probably want to go fast... But will you ever have more that 5-6 people in the boat, can you do 2 props... 1 for play and 1 for running flat out across the lake...

2) I would play with some test BRAVO props starting with a 26" and moving to maybe as high as a 30". PROBOATS in covina CA has a free prop demo program, you put a deposit and use as many pros as you need to get it close... =ELIMINATOR= has demo props as well... When I say close they don't have labbed props to test which will probably be the best in the end, so a regular will get you close. So a 26 is similar to a 28 labbed, but its more complicated than that:) Example my labbed had better bite, hole shot seemed to improve, top end increased by 3 mph and plane speed decreased maybe a hair so I could still pull a skier or boarder, :))THumbsUpbut it pulled within 100 RPm of the 26 regular...

3) I have a late 2008 =ELIMINATOR= 250 Eagle 496 HO. My only "mods" were all Royal purple fluids, KN Filter, No Turbulators, MSD wires... I tried everything from a 22" to a 28" After about 2 years... I picked up a preowned Labbed Mercury Bravo 28" 4 blade. It now turns 5100 and 78 MPH GPS on MEAD. I still have a 22" As my back up... My prop was labbed by Bronson Hill and I really like it, I paid $450 cash. Some guys say BRONSON/HILL are not that good anymore... so maybe a Mercury labbed is better, but also more $$$.

Short Answer: Granted, Cats and Vee's are different, but Test some props and in the long run a LABBED/ CNC finished prop will really make a differnce, IMO. I would try to find a labbed 30" and run it. It might surprise you at how well it works !!
