Default propping a 28 Howard bullet with 575 sci?

Need some help propping a 2005 howard 28 bullet with stock mercury 575sci for speed

    boat came with a 30" bravo 1 47-4800rpm and 78.4 on the gps tel-tal.

it seems to me it needs to free up another 4-500 rpm?

update:boat turned 5000 and 80 on speedo with same 30" B1, boat was running light even ran out of gas.

what makes more sense a 30"B1 lab and hope to spin it 5300 or torque it with a 32" lab and hope for 4900 with less slip?

I would go with the 30" labbed. You need to get that motor to spin 5200 if memory serves.

You should send your ecm out and EB marine and have him flash it. Install a 120* stat and 3.5" pulley and you will be amazed how it will run. No more fast idle or soot on transom and he will put your limiter anywhere you want it...mine is at 5800. He only charges $250
