When I had my 21 Howard my favorite was a Precision 12 X 15 steel three blade, stock strut location, 454, T 400, Casale with 25's.

I used one of those in the early days, but after moving the strut forward and changing the angle to 7.5 deg and adding more power I have gone to smaller dia. all the way down to 11 1/4 X 16 on a two blade with some cup. That worked pretty good , but then I went to a 11 3/4 X 16 two blade and it also worked well. I'm concentrating on the two blades mostly now because they are about 5/6 mph faster. Just wondering what others are using.

With the strut moved forward, how much clearance do you have from the top of your blade to the bottom of your boat with an 11 3/4 Diameter?
