    Default LODBRS San Angelo Tx.

Hope there is a large boat count this weekend. Knowing there will be another 5 rounds of pro mods with probably 18 -20 or so registered it appears Lucas has made the decision for next year to split the class. To get away from the 5 rounds and another tv class pro outlaw will be a stand alone class (5.50 1000 ft) with its own purse and points. That at least is what the word is,time will tell if it comes to fruition.

I could possible see this being a very interesting mix of boats(hydros, flats, jets, props, turbo, supercharged,n itros, etc).Because of the Lucas 5.70 rule only common denominator would be a capsule mandated.

So why would they need to go to a 1000' in the sportsman classes? I don't see any point in that.

there has been another idea floated around by some people but to this point I don't believe it has gained much traction. they are purposing a heads up class but with some devices installed on the motors to limit fuel pump output and boost output the way I understand it. Guess the idea is to try and limit the dollars involved to compete, parts breakage, etc., but yet be a heads up class like tah while making it somewhat more affordable ie pro mod/ pro outlaw.

Guess Lucas officials made the announcement at San Angelo race. There will be a new class for next year (Pro Outlaw 5.40 1000 ft). note it is a 5.40 index not 5.50 as has been run in the second chance deal the last couple of years.
