Thumbs up NJBA / Lifeline River racer program for new racers!!

As we look for new racers interested in getting into the sport. Lifeline has donated two complete sets of safety gear to the NJBA. This gear will be available for free on a loaner basis to guys interested in getting into the sport. This is for the non competitive river racer program. For those guys looking to try out their boat and get the rush of running down the liquid quarter mile.

I want to send out a huge Thank you to Kent at Lifeline for making this possible!!

What is the NON-competitive river racer class. I have considered draggin my old butt out there for the hell of it and running in the river racer class. I just can't seem to get a handle on the requirements and rules. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I ran non competitive river racer class a couple years ago and you just make passes during the day with other river racers and get a time slip, but you don't win anything. And it is cheaper than running a class. Some safety requirements is the same for everyone, kill switch, rope deflector, and a certified life vest, helmet and restraints is some of the main ones.

Basically just come out and run you boat through the clocks. A boat may or may not be in the other lane. The safety requirements are all listed on NJBARACING.ORG. Others have mentioned a short list of items. Kill switch, rope deflector, jet away or pop off on jets over 100 mph. Send me a PM if you have more questions! Hope to see you guys out there in September!
