24th Annual Lakefest @ Lake Marble Falls, 8/7-9/15
    By JM Hallas
Marble Falls, Tx.,(Aug. 8, 2015) After a fortunate and relatively uneventful day 1 of the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series at Lakefest 2015, Saturday gave drivers another chance to get in the field or improve position on the ladder. . There were a couple 'almosts' and some broken parts, but no major incidents. Once again the were no problems during Saturday's qualifying, the closest was Bill Miller, Party to the Max, Top Alcohol Flat nearly cork-screwing his boat into the water.
Saturday brought another two rounds of qualifying to set the fields for Sundays eliminations. It would be another long, hot day as drivers, crews and fans started early at the 24th Annual Lakefest on Lake Marble Falls. Several of the Pro Class drivers/teams opted out of round 3 passes after successful passes in round 2.
Friday highlights saw Bryan Sanders take the top spot in Top Fuel Hydro, with Mike Fry(Top Alcohol Hydro) and Don Bausher(Top Alcohol Flats) also grabbing the number 1 spots in Pro qualifying.
