I'll let someone else tell the story. I'll say this. I left the race on Friday because I wasn't waiting around to watch the wind blow. So it was my choice to leave and lose my entry fee $. Now in this case Lucas told him he could not run. Lucas should have refunded his money.

I can't believe that they wouldn't refund the money. Just my opinion but it doesn't seem like Lucas gives two shits about working with their racers as long as they get your money. If it's their policy not to give refunds then they should at least give a credit for future event.

You are correct. I would refund a guys money if he was told he could run paid his entry and membership, and then at the event he was told he could not. Rules are rules. But I'm not in the business to rip someone off. Safety rules are in place for a reason.

Default When the Noreasters blow in Havasu stay home.

We live in Havasu and had guests coming for the weekend to enjoy the boat races. When the North Easter started blowing at 30 knots on Friday morning I called them immediately and said, STAY HOME! They decided to come out anyway so we met at the races Sat morning. Needless to say we made a day of Foxes, Sundance and Roadrunner on our way back to Havasu. Having lived in Parker and Havasu I want to impart this information to everyone who spends money to drag their part out here to race. " IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU THE WINDS ARE BLOWING FROM THE NORTHEAST AND THEY HAVEN'T BLOWN FOR FOUR DAYS YET, STAY HOME AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. Until June that will be the case. I know this is kind of a new development out here, at least to me. Seems like this North east out of the Grand Canyon direction has turned into a blaster this last year or two. In February and March it is an ice machine, now it is just a blasting 30-60 knot annoyance. That said, I have noticed it has about a 3-5 day life span with the first two days being absolutely hurricane like. Day three is about twenty percent less and today is day four with white caps still on the lake all day, which takes 15 knots plus. So here is my advice to all who spend good money dragging their rigs out here, " call out here and ask someone dependable if it's blowing from the northeast here and when it started blowing, BEFORE you roll the dice. My friends in Cali call me before coming out here all summer long.

    Default Water Conditions

At 5pm they decided to pull the Pro Mods off the rope for the 3rd time because of white caps at the start line. So they felt the open boats @ 145 mph could be fine to run in rough water. I gave a thumbs up and then decided not to run. They only care about the Pro Boats. Also one of the runnerup winners questioned to K. D. on the fact they had given the winner and runner in T. E. wrong winners and K. D. told him not once but twice to get out of his face. He also came very close to defacing K.D. because of his harsh remark.
