DESERT STORM seeks volunteers - Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
DESERT STORM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are needed to assist with the operations and logistics of the 20th anniversary Desert Storm Poker Run and Shootout. The annual event, presented by Kicker Audio, will be headquartered at the London Bridge Resort, 1477 Queens Bay, from April 18-22, 2018 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Volunteers are needed for event set-up, take-down, registration and check-in, apparel, poker run card turn-in, Krusin’ for Kids, Shootout, and Main Street Party. The application allows interested parties to include their preferred times of day and days of the week to volunteer. The six-day event will continue to feature the distinguished Main Street Party – featuring the top-caliber boats lined along Lake Havasu City’s Main Street – to be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018; the street party is free to the public and open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The famed poker run will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018, and the acclaimed shootout is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018, which will determine who is crowned “King of the Desert,” and “Queen of the Desert” by clocking the fastest speeds on Lake Havasu. Past contenders have clocked speeds topping 180 mph.
