    Default New Website and Layout

Welcome to the new site... well almost. This site is large and contains quite a bit of content, so the full upgrade process is going to take the rest of the weekend. The forums will mostly remain up during this process.

As everyone will notice right away there have been a couple of major changes, most notably the forums are now the home page. This site is user based at it's core and this most recent site upgrade is going to focus on converting the entire site and the content streams into a more community based environment. In other words instead of having you go look for the content, we are going to better integrate the content and try to keep it in the context of the forums environment.

A new media center will be launching shortly. If you click on the tab right now it will say access denied. The old media center and all its photos will remain online as a legacy item, however it will be locked shortly for new additions.

The videos will migrate to this section and enjoy much tighter integration with the forums, including the ability to upload a video and have it automatically create a thread for discussion.

There are a TON of new features that come along with the upgrade to VBulletin Version 4.0 including optional facebook integration, better search features, better anti spam tools and a general better user experience. I will create another separate post detailing the new features and how to use them once the upgrade is complete.

I will add to this thread over the weekend with new updates and news.

I like the new format, it is used on many other sites. Is it possible to have the "New Post" button for each PB Category instead of the entire forum? It is just too many posts to sift through for the few categories I follow. Its a great feature but with this many people posting daily, it's just information overload.

Thanks for the efforts to make PBF better.

If your talking about the side bar the answer is not really. Really by clicking into a category all the posts in bold are the new ones. I will look around to see if I can dig something up on this.

Any way to make the size of forum pages fill the whole screen...I find it a bit distracting to have the PB home page sticking out on the sides of the forum pages?

When I click on PB - V-Drives on my most visited I get the old format with some new threads. If I then click on forums it goes to the new format and the v-drive forum is different with different threads.Essentially there are two different forums happening.
