in the middle of re plumbing my boat and when i took it apart it had water plumbed from the exhaust to the carb box but the whole boat was plumbed ass backwards anyway so.....
was told it was designed to have oil going through it and that people quit doing that years ago.
should i or should i not plumb water lines to it after the motor and exhaust to warm it up a bit?
my theory is that since the water will be cold until the motor warms up anyway it would actually be cooling the air fuel mixture when it needs to be warm the most.

My understanding of this practice,, which was originally done on many of the production turbo kits, was to help make the engine idle better. Most ran engine oil through the carb box, then to the turbo. When I raced my Schiada, I didn't run anything through the carb box, but even the Gentry kits have a passage in the carb box.
