Looking for either a left hand, or possibly full set of the Banks/Aero Marine/Glenwood/Hardin style exhaust logs, with the water cooled exhaust flange. Friend has one leaking that needs replacement.
Does a split case Casale in a 19' flatbottom ski/lake boat need to be water cooled? I would assume yes, but I have been told it is not necessary.
My only hesitation is that there is not currently a water pickup or dump for this (translated - 2 more holes in the boat).
Working on converting a 1989 Supra Pirata "roll bar boat" with PCM 454/BW 72C into a v drive. The gear box itself will be under the carpeted floorboards. Due to lack of air circulation, should I get a v drive that is water cooled? I can get a nice Crusader unit for 200.00 that is water cooled...
I am building a sanger flat for my son and it has a thoroughbred v drive that does not have the ability to have water put to it. He will most likely only run around the lake for maybe a 1/2 hour to 45 min at a time...Any thoughts as far as not having a cooled vdrive.Thanks for your time guys.
My boat will be used only for circle racing. Chevy 350 with 10* casale 1.12 gears.
It doesn't make sense to me to come off the motor and run hot water to the drive. Is this thing (the v-drive) really going to get that hot in 10 miles of running (assuming warm up laps, race, and cool down laps...
