I am going to purchase some duratec surfacing primer to use in my bilge and transom area. When you coat the area with gelcoat do you have to use their high gloss additive as well as a wax sanding additive or do you only use one or the other so that you canpolish the finish?

I'm looking for a #1040 Duratec Hi-Gloss Additive in a smaller container
than the gallon size,
I'm going to use a #180 clear gel coat and It is recommended to use this additive
when top coating.
I'm only buying the quart kit clear gel, I dont think I will need the gallon additive
