So I put a nice pair of polished stainless fenders on my trailer and of course the first thing that happens is someone uses it as a step and scratches the ever loving hell out of one of them. Couple things. What is the best way to repolish stainless fenders? (I'm using Wizard's Metal Renew now)...

rounded up some marine plywhood to finish the inner fender area, whats the best to cover it with? Outdoor carpet or have an upholstery shop make a vinyl cover? I have plenty of room for some padding or what-not
