SF is mid lift 90* rocker pivot/ valve stem. This does not necessarily put rocker tip on the center of the valve. I was taught the center of tip, smallest pattern years ago. I see the validity of both methods. Discuss away. Wags

Examine the picture and you can see the issue. This is the "block true" plate that came with a SV85 I just came up with. I felt a need to check it for somee reason. As you can see it is not right. I indicated the slot. It is parallel to the Y axis on my mill. I then indicated center from the...

Its been discussed here before and generally accepted the best way to set up rocker geometry is based off mid lift angles. So is there a lobe profile that takes full advantage of this ?

I had a rocker arm fall off a pushrod last time out(not sure where that thread went). Had a few comments that my pushrods looked a lil short. I'm not would be nice if they were cause I have some rocker arm to stud issues. The rocker arm I thought I broke has a groove below the...

i installed the t&d's according to the instructions & that did not work. the valve stems are too long. the heads have a raised port & that put the rocker on the outside edge of the valve. i had to (not shim) the assembly in order to get the rocker onto the center of the valve stem. this caused...

As I'm pre-planning my next build, I'm really digging deep and trying to learn everything that I can in regards to proper valve train geometry. I'll be running a Comp Cams XM278H cam with Comp Cams Pro-Magnum hydraulic lifters. From everything that I've read, they say to use a solid lifter for...

Should the rocker arm roll across the top of the valve stem or should it stay in the center of the valve stem and be as norrow as possible?.
