the lucas rules state that fuel injected boats must have push/pull fuel shutoff valve. is the valve required on EFI engines? If it is required, it would be nice to see how others have the valve mounted.

How do you go about tearing apart a used engine to inspect condition? Can I just pop off a main/rod cap and have a look and retorque them to stock specs? What if someone used a different torque number than stock and I set it to stock? Worst case? Best case? Is it even a good idea...
