With the water level ridiculously low at Lake Mead, is it even really worth it to plan a boating weekend there? Was thinking about planning a trip to Vegas for a show and then hitting the lake one or two afternoons in May.
Main concerns would be launching and worry about random shallow spots...

I asked my daughter what she would like to do for a few days for vacation....kids want to go tubeing again they havent been for 3 yrs so wife wants to go to vegas,so looks like lake mead.....it will be a sunday thru weds type deal so the crowds r down would like to rent a small boat for 4 all...
Where is the best place to boat on Lake Mead. I haven't boated here before, but was thinking about going to Echo Bay and try it out, just wondering if anyone had any info. Thanks
when I tell people in vegas that I'm going out to lake mead boating, it's unbelievable how many ask, is the water deep enough to boat???
people really think that lake mead is drying up!!!??? it's over 400' deep...500 miles of shore!!

I read somewhere that Mead would be rising a foot a day during the months of May, June and July. Has anybody noticed or been on either Mead or Powell yet?
