I'm wondering if anyone can give me a rough estimate on my horsepower/torque numbers? I never really thought about it until a friend asked me about how much power my motor is making and I really have no idea,,,here goes its a 454 .030 over standard deck height not decked, with 781 heads (no...

I will be looking at a possible purchase of a Rayson Craft SK Jr. (16' Outboard). I believe most of these were produced in the mid-late '60s. Might I find a Hull ID number? Where would it be, and what would it tell me? Eric

What A/F ratios are you guys seeing that work well for a Naturally Aspirated BBC? My engine seems to want a richer mixture on the ramp up to WOT, (about 3/4 throttle) then it actually does at WOT itself. Is that normal?

Hi All I've re-done the casale diagrams and re-entered the numbers that cross over to the parts list so that the numbers are legible - hope this helps someone.

Wags/Steele/Paul/Whomever: Trying to move a 477 BBC short block for a friend that doesn't know the fine details of what he has (it was his spare engine) These are in a GM107 / 3999289 454 block... Pistons are stamped on top of the domes with 54100 , they have a pretty tall dome even for a BBC...
  9. GN7 On the Dyno
Local guy flowed my heads to see what i have, their history was a little murky on what all was done when i got them. I'm going to an aluminum, by the time he could make these better i would be into them way too much. Are these numbers legit to a close to factory port or did some one jack them...
  10. GN7 On the Dyno
Picked up a set of used 990 heads as mine were destroyed. They have been worked over pretty well. 2.35/1.94 stainless valves, fully ported/polished, heads shaved to 113cc combustion chambers. All work was fresh with zero miles on the heads. I've pretty much already decided on the isky 280 mega...

Hi, I have a good (fresh) 454 that has been sitting for many years.... wow, like just shy of 30. Time flies when you're having fun. It was in a hooligan street truck, PO had to go to prison for a bit and I bought it hearing it run and it was strong. Never used it so I just started to...

Where can I find the part number or serial number on my lower unit and mid section of a Mercury 200XRi? The lower unit and mid section would have nothing to do with the ECU or electronics (i.e. charging system) would they? I am just trying to make sure everything I have in a certain motor is...

  16. V-Drives
A very helpful CampbellCarl suggested I post this in the v-drive section since it is "The other thing is that the members that hang out in the V-Drive section are MUCH older........and you need an old guy to answer your questions." I'm trying figure out what class U-52 would have been. I...
  17. PB Open Water
Trying figure out what class U-52 would have been. I thought these were the circle boat numbers but not sure. This photo was probably taken in 1966-ish at the old Paradise Cove in Parker. It's a AquaCraft flatbottom with a Chrysler 426 Wedge when this was taken. Around 67 it got a blown fuel...
