Need some help from the professionals here. I just happen to have my rudder X-rayed and here is what it looks like. My question is this they way it was made or do I need a new one? There are some gaps that don't look good.

Re-rigging and would like to off-set rudder. Which side for a LH prop? I will be upgrading to hydraulic steering also. This most likely will negate most torque feedback but I would still like to off-set to the best side. General ski/cruise...
I have a steel (it could be stainless steel, it's heavy) wedge rudder with 1" shaft and comes with stuffing box (I would replace the seal). I'm not sure what brand it is and the stainless or chrome is a little weathered but still in good condition. This could be for v-drive or flatbottom race...
Glenwood, cast aluminum, rudder post bracket. The post bracket and L-brackets were polished and sent to Extreme Performance Heat Coatings and clear ceramic coated. They were never put in the boat. Dave, at Connolly Marine, has made a custom bracket and I don't need this one anymore. $125.00 obo...
Anyone know where I can find a replacement seal for, what I believe is, an old round flange Hall-Craft rudder stuffing box? It's a press-in style seal, not the lock ring kind. Already tried Glenwood.
It's a National seal but I can't read the numbers.
I'm in need of a rudder having hard time finding one for my boat so I'm going to have one made. Question is what kind of steel are they made of besides stainless steel can anyone help me on what type of steel would you use to have a rudder fabricated out of :confused:
