I have a 12* direct drive Casale v-drive that's going in my daycruiser that I'd like to switch from a 3/8" to 1/2" plate. So I presume I just need to mill each half of the case 1/16. Or can I do one side 1/8 ?
Are there any more "gotcha's" that I need to know about?
Been reading the forum for awhile for information and finally joined. Currently looking at getting out of drag racing, currently run a nostalgia front engine dragster and getting a boat so the whole family can enjoy going fast. Mainly would be boating on Lake Tahoe.

Right now, I'm turning a stainless B to 5800-5900 rpm and running 82 mph.
The engine makes peak torque (about 510 ft-lbs) around 4500 rpm and peak horsepower (about 550) at 5800-5900 rpm.

I'm assuming it is nitrogen gas (& not liquid nitrogen) you are using?
Besides filling your co2 bottle with nitrogen instead, any other changes necessary to make the switch?
Did the bottle pressure change at all?

I went to the dyno running c16 and we got A/F tuned for that fuel...Im planning on switching fuels. What are the numbers or specs I need to look at to compare fuels? specific gravity? concerned about my jetting by switching fuels.
Looking at going from VP c16 to F&L 118.
