Performance Boaters, After communicating with Dave (Jokorace) he encouraged me to create a build thread for my project. I have been out of performance boating for the past 20 years. After owning and restoring a couple flat's and hydro's I purchased this tunnel V-Drive two years ago, as the...

Hi All I cannot seem to find turnbuckles with 7/16" pin size anymore - we have them on our boat and need some extras. It seems as if 3/8" pin is the common size now? Possibly I should change to that for future availability?
  4. V-Drives
Haven't seen one yet, but has anyone started one?
  5. V-Drives
I've never done a build thread so I think it's time. Part of why I wanted to sell the Bezer is, as bitchen a boat as it is, there were a handful of things that really racked on my OCD:shock:. Nothing major, but initially I didn't really wanna deal with it. Since it seems I couldn't sell cash at...

I just got home. What a fun day!!! :)devil Not too crowded, but plenty in attendance. Mouzer was all over the place signing autographs and tending to his fans. The Miller family was a very welcome presence and I'm sure will have some awesome pics as well as ace photog's Ken Schultz, Mark...

I really like the looks of this one and would like to know where to get one?

OK here we go. A statement was made to me recently that got me thinking. And the validity of the statement has been backed up by reputable folks. "When turbocharging an engine, cubic inches are insignificant" When I really thought about this. It seems that if a given engine can "process" all...

Title says 1977 Hondo but no visable HIN#. Has been re-gelled so maybe filled in. Stringers are covered with carbon fiber and look new. Had to make the aluminum plates at rear of hull (blast plates??). Looks like prop strut has been repositioned about 8" forward. Inboard rudder is offset 5"...

Weather was great and the turnout was awesome. Just missing 1 Ford K boat and it would've been perfect. And where was Mike Kirth? Some of these pics are from up river....

We're pleased to announce that we have launched a new smartphone view on the site, in addition to the recently added mobile view in the last upgrade. This version has been designed to have a cleaner look, to fit really nicely into mobile (iPhone, Android) browsers, and unlike most normal web...

My last engine chewed up the bearing pretty good. I have all the oil lines and dual oil filter mount removed. What is the best way to clean the lines and mount?

Browsing CL the other day I came across a 21 Avenger cruiser, figure what the he'll it doesn't cost me anything and momma wants a big boat after the little incident on father's day last year (some of you may remember jyeager's southwind 18). Well to my surprise this thing was nearly complete...

Definitely not a pro by any description but this is a question for the Pro's, I am asking a question about some work done by a PRO.. On my personal boat, when I had the Intake machined for a shoe by a v-drive builder here in Tucson, every thing came out really nice. The biting edge of the shoe...

What do you guys use to seal the threads to avoid milkshake? I'm talking head bolts and rocker stands. I've been using ultra copper on studs, with mixed results. In a jet boat. I do have a pressure blowbye to bring down the block pressure. I've tried restrictions but don't like low flow at...
