Looking for some thin narrow either aluminum or stainless material (rub rail so to speak) to go around my flat at the deck to hull joint.
Boat originally had a thin narrow aluminum strip would like to replace it with something.
any info on source for this material is appreciated.
I have a 26' v-bottom with a 496 HO,looking to smooth out the the ride at slower speeds (30 to 40 mph) someone said just put the whale tail on the out drive?? Not sure of the pros or cons of doing this. Not sure if trim tabs are worth the money?? looking forward to your opinions :))THumbsUp

Trim up all the way on my hydraulic PD while underway the rooster tail will barely get out of the water. On the trailer the nozzle struggles to go much more above halfway, if you grab it and "help" it up it will go all the way up. I don't see any fluid leaks so I don't think the hydraulic ram...

I want to add trim tanks that act as transom extensions and extra flotation /trim tab (each side of jet outlet, about 3ft wide X 2.6fthigh and apron 2 ft long, bolted to aluminium boat transom . I may use was gas tanks . is this weight that far aft a problem? I think i will need to ballast...

These are extremely rare all in one trim tabs. The pump and sender is all in one small unit. No giant trim tab pumps mounted in your boat with hoses running everywhere. No giant 33c cables running around with more holes in your transom for trim tab indicators. They're about 10x12 in size...

Didn't see any other place to post this so I'll ask here. I've been looking at lots of pictures of used boats with trim tabs. It looks like some are mounted such that the bottom of the plates are horizontal and some are mounted at at the same angle as the V in the bottom of the boat.
