It's happening again, waters going up at an as stounding rate. a couple more inches and we will be swimming again, Hope Ike dropps his rains elsewhere.

Chuck, that was the same thing I was thinking. Des Plaines in Gurnee has gone up over 4 feet in 12 hours. Most of the heavy stuff has been south of us in Pell Lake. With the aftermath of Ike making its way up here this week sometime, not looking good at all.

Thanks for the help sandbagging Bo Duke, mad quick work of it this year. It also helps to be a bit more prepaired.

Second day of nonstop rain in Sagnasty.............. Sucks, boat all done full of gas........... and I'm stuck on the internet looking for stuff to buy..................... I'm one sick puppy!!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody got blueprints for an Ark? I'm making a list of the things that should be left out this time............

Yeah, I haven't been back to Boy Scout Island in a few years, there has been a big sandbar right accross from the Germania G,C. and the water is only 2-3 feet deep there at least in the last 3 or 4 years................. That used to be the perfect drag strip, no matter what the water is dead calm back there................ great place to hang and drink beer also!!!!!!Look on the bright side. Another foot of water level we could back in the Flats to play around.

THE WATER IS JUST UNDER THE FLOOR THIS MORNING AT THE CABIN. IT CAME IN LAST NIGHT, WE GOT ABOUT 1.5". THEN WENT BACK DOWN. IF IT DOESN'T DOWNPOUR IT SHOULD BE FINE. ROB METSGER DIDN'T FARE AS WELL. IT WAS ABOUT 1 AND A 1/2 TO 2 FEET IN HIS HOUSE, AGAIN, AND THAT WAS LAST NIGHT BEFOR IT CAME UP. IF YOU FIND THOSE PRINT'S FOR THE ARC LET US KNOW. WE COULD MODIFY IT AND PUT A BLOWN BIG BLOCK AND JET PUMP IN IT. LOL AND OF CORSE ,PAINT IT BLUE!!!!!!!!!

The Newest Thing Is To Put The House 15 Feet In The Air. Then You Dont Need Flood Insurance. But The First Step Is A Bitch. I'll Try To Get A Picture Next Time I Go Up. The House Is In The Air With The Frount Door Still In It Looks To Funny To Pass Up. But They Didn't Get Any Water This Time.

Well....we seem to have dodged a bullet, water has crested, and is going down. If there was any more rain it would have been disasterous. Still not out of the woods yet lots of run off, still coming down the valley.

We only got around 5 inches of rain here. Just enough to over flow the waste water treatment plants. I dont remember the exact amount of semi treated waste water they dumped in the big creek but it was ALOT. Semi treated here means they screen out the bullets, needles and rubbers. The rest should be flowing by Rat and Cowboys houses rite about now. There is an old saying around here, "When it rains in Sagnasty, Shit happens in Bay City". hand
