I guess you don't really follow jet boat racing. In the last five years we have always had a really good jet boat turn out. I think we had six entries last year. There has always been a jet in the top ten since the race started. It is too bad that they changed the rules this year to try and slow the jet boats down, and no longer allow z-drives in the jet class.
They also limited the jets to 410 cubic inches to basically eliminate all of the comp jets from racing. They must be afraid that a jet was getting close to winning.
