Have a small block ford setup is
edelbrock victor jr heads
parker funnelweb single plane intake
procharger 8-10lbs of boost
750cfm holley double pumper

What do you guys think about this cam with this setup. Main question is am i going to have water reversion problems? And does this look like a good cam for my setup?

Cam Style: Hydraulic roller tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 2,500-6,000
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 232 Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224 int./232 exh.
Advertised Duration: 293 int./290 exh. Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.542 in. Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.563 in. Probably have better luck with this ? over in the dyno section. Or PM Chris Straub.

Not with a positive displacement supercharger, IMHO as long as it has a faily high idle pressure (numerically low vacuum numbers) you should be cool...

that small of a cam with that wide of a lobe sep angle you shouldnt have any problems with reversion.

Way to much induction for that 302. This thing won't need much cam at all. Those victors are at least 210cc runners. this combo needs to see 8K to be happy. If your going to run it it will need a tiny camshaft. Even with this it isn't going to be a fun ride.

Knowing what kind of boat its going in would help, but that cam is fine. Its a pretty mild cam, LSA of 112 doesn't usuallt cause any reversion issues. (depending on exhaust) With the small motor, it should run well, and like to rev.

Are you looking to make power toward the 6K end ?

What kind of exhaust do you have on the boat.

I was told anything over 110 lc Ideally 114 -

what kind of boat
what kind of drive system
what type of exhaust and tailpipes
what rpm we are looking to make power at

Engine details without boat details doesn't give us anything to by.

For an out of the box cam (not a custom grind) and for what your describing I would look at a FMS E-303... Its a nice cam for a low boost 5.0, I have seen many run very well... If you want the most out of your setup get a custom cam specific to your application... Trust straub...

What kind of boat / drive?

E-303 hydraulic roller specs, if your engine is not a roller block the conversion is cheap and easy:

cam lift.311 int exh .311
valve lift .498 int exh .498
max lift intake 110* exhaust 110*
valve setting. .000 intake exhaust .000

cam timing @.004 tappet lift
intake opens 28* btdc closes at 74* abdc duration is 282
exhaust opens 68*bbdc closes 34* atdc duration 282

cam timing @.050 tappet lift
intake opens at 0* btdc closes 40*abdc duration 220
exhaust opens 40* bbdc closes 0* atdc duration 220

Lobe centers

The wider lobe centers help keep the blowers from losing a lot of manifold air pressure during overlap, when both valves are open, near TDC at the end of the exhaust stroke.....

I WOULD TAKE CSTRAUBs advice
I ALSO highly recommend Jay Allen at www.camshaftsinnovation.com
he is very partial to old school SBFs 8.2"(289 and 302)
I had him do a custom ground hyd billet roller in my 302 (with a little stroke)
This cam combo requires the Comp retrofit link bar hyd roller lifters in the early blocks (little pricey) but worth every penny
This thing idles like a dream and the power is very street friendly
setup for cornering,but still runs 11.50s with pump fuel and 3250# with fat driver and tall 3.25 rear gear
