For sale is a turn key 440 Chrysler race engine machined and assembled by Daves Engine Machining in Newark, CA- THE bay area Mopar builders. Used in a drag boat application (less than 20 passes), but would make a great hot rod, street/strip or drag racing engine. Price includes everything you need to put into a V drive flat bottom or hydroplane. It has Victor style Raised runner aluminum heads fully ported with flow sheets, built and assembled by a professional racing head shop . Manley nextek springs and valves, Comp 10* retainers/locks. Custom Comp solid roller cam, Smith Brothers custom pushrods, blueprinted, zero decked, geometry properly set up, true 12:1 measured compression. Runs best on 100 octane, I was mixing pump 91 and 110. . JE pistons. Steel crank. ARP bolts, Hughes shaft rockers. (2) DRCI 660 cfm centersquirt carbs w/linkage, Carbs tuned with LM1 wideband 02 on the water, fully ported flowed tunnel ram with shear plates. Estimated to make around 700hp. Electronic Mallory ignition, hook up 12v, your fuel pump and headers and it will light right off and go. See youtube videos below. I had a 7000rpm chip in the rev limiter and it would pull hard right up to the limiter. Comes with everything pictured for $6000, or would take $5000 without the scoop/tray and boat parts- basically carbs-pan) Sheet metal valve covers. Has V drive baffled boat pan on it now. Nothing mickey mouse, this was designed to be a very reliable engine and has 10 hours run time on the water total mostly cruising, about 15-20 all out passes since last freshening. Fresh, needs nothing. Only reason for selling is because I recently sold my flat bottom boat less engine and have no use for it anymore. Please call 510 979 9211 with questions. Located about a minute away from the automall/880 exit in Fremont, CA. (Norcal)

Are you selling the headers separate? I would like to take the whole motor but dont have that much cash... Let me know if you decide to part it out. Could definitely use the headers, tunnel ram, and oil pan...

If you part it out..

If you decide to part it out I would be interested in the valve covers and intake (and valley pan). Pm me if you decide to go that way. Thanks, and sharp engine!
