Lets here the stories of the weekend. Good or Bad. Those of us who were not able to make it to the water would love theopportunity to live vicaiously through those who did. Pix would be great too.

I will start it out.

We had the "fun patrol" (DNR) follow us into a friends property. My friend was running his hydrostream, and I was in my jet. My friend was given a ticket for reckless driving (185.00) and two other people at our friends place were given tickets for driving their personal watercrafts after hours (135.00).

They were threatening me about noise, and I would not start my boat for them so they could test it. They finally gave up and left after about an hour. They stopped with a boat out in the channel and were talking with them, so I started my boat up and just as I passed them, hammered it:)devil. They chased me, but unfortunatly their 90 hp lund just couldnt keep up. We saw them when we were back at camp, out in the big lake with binoculars looking for us....to bad the boat was already out of the water and hidden. Dick heads.

Just out of curiosity, What exactly was your friend doing that was considered reckless driving?

I really hope your boat is not very distinctive or you are going to have a bad day at the launch ramp next time out. My brother lipped off to the senior ranger all the way out one day after blowing his motor and the next trip out, he received special treatment. Just as a precaution, you may want to have all your safety deviced within easy reach and your registration on board for your next outing and expect a little boating safety speech. DOn't ask how I know. lol.

Still amazes me to watch how incapable people are at the ramp. You would think someone sporting a +100k boat would spend one weekday on the water with it, figuring out to launch and load with minimum fuss.

We launched and retrieved at Windsor this weekend. Saturday, I drop Tim off at the dock, he goes and get the truck and I'm looking at at least 2 spots where trailers can be put in the water, but the 2 or 3 trucks/trailers are just sitting there. Tim pulls up, backs into one of the spots and on we go. We were in the water last, and first out (as usual). That move got a thumbs up from the Rangers/helpers.

Well, on the way to BR thurs. afternoon, saw a blue eliminator? (some type of cruiser) sitting on the opposite side of the road than it's trailer, CHP on scene and the owner getting some stuff out. Poor guy....we stopped after that and double checked the safety chains on the trailer.

The first couple days at BR were great...as planned, then Saturday night there were some fires down river, everything was covered in ash Sunday morning, and by about 2 o'clock, this was our view from the beach at the RV park.

It eventually engulfed the entire bank across from the beach, but somehow those pictures didn't get taken. The chopper made a couple drops in the river to fill up the bucket. Fires suck, but I've never been this close to one so it was kinda neat. AZ fire did a nice job of handling it.

Didn't make it out to the river, but 4 Guys small dirt backyard track and a Home made ramp with an ATV :)devil

So the story goes I was wrenching on a friends Yamaha Blaster all the while drinking and BBQing. I had it running good and the liquor had already in paired our judgment :p So we made a little track in the back yard nothing major, about 75 X 75. It was fun but we wanted more. So we started to build a dirt ramp. Were we getting maybe 3-4 ft of air but of course we wanted more so we built it up and re-enforiced it. Bad idea! I was the first to try it out, i got big air landed on the rear two wheels and the think kept going untill the chain link fence was able to stop the thing. I beat the fence and my self up pretty bad. But it was funnier than hell.

I saw 4 jet boats with a bucket full of rocks in there pumps get towed off a sand bar, I also saw 4 grown men stand on the deck of a blue cheyenne. All 4 boats where being towed in a line behind a wake board boat. This story gets even better with photos,

My friend was not doing anything wrong in my opinion. We were going through a part of the lake that is a hang out about 30 miles per hour, and he has his merc trimmed up on his hydrostream throwing about a 12 foot tall roost. The boat was acting all light and was doing very small wheelies. I have seen the boat in waaaaay worse shape than what it was in and it was completly controlable. Bottom line, DNR officer was being a prick.

At least they werent trying to get the rock out of the impellar on their brand new sea doo boat they where letting wash up on the beach all day like the knuckle heads I had to wait for. Not to mention there where only 2 spots and they where in one of them.

a good bit of advice i got one time. Almost anyone can outrun the LE. but not many can outrun his radio.
I appreciate the advice, but they are not going to bring helicopters and added boats to try and chase me for what they think is loud noise.

Last time they ran into me at a lake hang out and asked why I didnt stop, I told them they needed a light bar and siren on their boat:)sphss.

They wanted to test my boat with their 200 dollar piece of crap DB meter they bought at radio shack. I had it tested with a friends 3000.00 plus db meter he uses for car stereo comps, and it passed with that. My beef is that if they are going to talk the talk, then they should know what they are talking about, and they dont.

Also for the record, I had my boat certified by the coast guard here in town. There is a sticker on the boat that says it has passed inspection and is legal for use. The coast guard is way smarter with boats then the DNR. Bring it on, this is still somewhat of a free country........I think:)devil
