Try freightquote.com if you don't already have a source for shipping.

Is there such a thing as a Gen 4? I thought they were Mark V. I thought the Gen 4 was in with the new generation of small blocks.

Tim
There isn't. MKs stop with IV and the GENs start with 5 then 6. But it too anal for most to want to read or hear.

By the way, as long as we are being anal, there is no Mark V!

GENs don't use roman numerals, they use standard numbering. Roman numerals look stupid when not used with a MK or Mark. But not as stupid a MK4.

So you can certainly understand how Matt could make the mistake now can't you?;)

So how is that for an anal answer?

Thats a good one Barry. They can't even get their own damn designations correct. The funny thing about that is that the reason they went to the GEN designation was that Ford had the MK V and VI tied up and GM didn't what to get into a legal tug a war with them. Then they use in the casting. Thats priceless. You notice under that it does have G-6. I have seen them with MK in the timing chain area, but never with a VI with it.

I never had any doubts as to why GM went bankrupt. That is a a perfect example that the left hand has nmo idea what the right is doing, and NEITHER pay any attention to the mouth and brain.

Obviously I just put it up to get you to laugh,, I knew I had seen various designations on the things. I don't bother trying to correct anyone with MK or Gen,, as long as the 4, 5 or 6 is correct.

I wonder what Pro Comp puts on their copy of the 502 block?

That's about as cheap as you can find a good Bowtie block, don't see many for sale.
