One of my friends has a Cigarette 39 Top gun. The engines were replaced 2 years ago w/factory Merc 525 crate engines. The problem one of the engines started having about 2 weeks ago is oil blowing from dipstick tube.I've dealt with alot of street engines and usually it is caused by oil overfill and PVC system malfunction. But,oil level is exact and PVC is functioning which leads me to believe he has blow by at rings. I haven't run a compression check o the cylinders yet.Any input would be appreciated. Thanks,Mark

Mines not a 525 but I had the very same problem. I added breathers in my valve covers and a 14Qt oil pan, problem solved. I have a supercharged 502. Hope this helps.
