So I've had this boat for three years now and it has always been very reliable. I bought it from some friends and it was always very reliable for them as well. Anyways, today I fired the old girl up for the first time this year. It seemed to start a little slow and rough. I figured, well it has been about a year just needs to roll the dust off. When it did start it ran fine for about 20 mins in neutral, thought I would shut it down and test it in gear. When I rolled it over in gear, it made like a loud squeaking locked up kind of noise, not sure how to describe it. You know not like broken parts but parts that werent moving. When I put it back in neutral to try and start it again, it did the same thing I described. It has a TCI starter, I pulled it and ran down to the parts store and had them check it. They said its doing everything it should be doing but seemed to turn a bit slow. This boat has a Cassele V drive. Any thoughts on where to go from here? Thanks!

I did not mention if you had your Rocket in the water when you were doing all this start up testing. If you had this boat out of the water and you put it in gear and this squealing noise started I would think it is coming from your strut bushing. Spray some spray lube on the propshaft in front and behind the strut bushings. Use a ample amount. Try your test again.
