What is needed to make this set-up shoot a tail. I see most jb's have the jg with droop snoot and wedges. The fronts appear to be the same for both. Installing a jg bowl the answer?

Its is not neccesary to have a split bowl ,to make a Rooster tail as you may know , a Basic trim system such as Place diverter will readily attach to all Berkeley Jets, and bowls , Split bowls (A,B,G ) require a nozzle adaptor, or droop to make work , Berkeley "C" (one piece) bowls) are a direct bolt up for Trim. You may gain a bit more up trim (and more "roost" with a combination split bowl, droop, wedges, etc if thats your aim
