Do a search, there's been a couple threads on Kurtis' runners. The short answer is (at least IMHO) is they are great lake boats that also work as decent bracket boats....

I hope they're good. I just bought a '74 5/8" hull. Talk to The Bandit. He's pretty knowledgeable about them.

where did you buy it at? what colors is it?
It was passed through several of my friends hands, and then I got it. Sloppy fourths. :D It's blue but needs paint, etc. It's just a hull at this point.

its a 68 flat bottom not a 75 runner bottom... my mistake! is the 68 demarco flat a good hull for high speed though? this will be my first boat and i dont know much about which hulls are good for high speed?
I've got a 70 Hondo true flat that is a fun boat, but they're not going to go real fast. Mine does 80-ish with around 500hp. It would probably take a lot to make it go much faster and still be safe. I've been told by several guys that anything over 90 in a true flat is pretty dicey.

the boat has a semi built 502 bbc in it now and and said with the setup thats in it hes drove it to 104 on gps.. does this sound plausible? and 100mph is all i would want to go. if i want to go faster ill hop in my ol mans 28 daytona and go 135 mph!

From what I've learned (I'm still new to this, and probably always will be :D) it doesn't take a lot to 100 in a runner bottom. True flats are a different story - very few of those are anywhere near 100, although many claim to be.
