I love how these "experts" complain when it is anything but normal. No matter where you are in the world you have cold years and you have warm years. You have wet years and you have dry years. Its as simple as that.

Can you believe this douch bag was vice President of the USA for eight years and was almost elected President. At least be happy he is now happily running a global weather con scheme and not involved in running our nation anymore.

I asked a friend of mine who works for the National Weather Service about the change in the weather.

He was able to explain it to me in very simple terms.

It is normal for the weather to fluctuate.

That is why you have changing record highs and lows over long periods of time.

Al Gore = Complete idiot. It's just as plain and simple as that.

This guy is an Ass Clown and has no credibility whatsoever. Here's a guy who's preaching global warming yet his carbon footprint far exceeds most Americans. Talk about a hypocrite....oh ya, he's a Libturd....that explains it all.

Actually he might be correct! When people speak of global warming, they are not talking about one specific area or that everyplace in the world is getting warmer. What they are really referring to is a global climate change. Areas that normally are dry and warm are cooling and seeing more rain fall were as areas like the northern and southern poles are seeing higher temps and melting the polar caps. Global warming means the average temperature of earth is getting warmer. We know that global warming, climate change, is accruing; this is a true fact. The question is how much has been accelerated by mankind verses what happens naturally. Some people don’t want to believe mankind has contributed to the warming effect because that means they would have to make changes in their daily lives and routine and they refuse to do that; basically they are being selfish.
There are three ways to look at the situation. First, we say it is not happening and there for we should do nothing and continue the way we have for the last 100 industrial years. The problem with this rational is if we discover later that humans have caused an acceleration in global warming, aka climate change, it might be too late to make changes or we will have to take even more drastic measure to correct or slow down the problem. The worst case scenario is it is too late to make any changes and future generations will suffer because of their parents or grandparents ignorance. If you are correct and climate changes by human interaction is not happening, then things continue as they are and you do not have to change your way of life. The earth gets warmer and we learn to deal with it. This is like gambling and not hedging your bets. The question I have to ask is, how much are you willing to lose and do you really care about the earth after you are gone? Second choice is we say it is not happening or we think it might be happening, and we take action. We may find later that mankind’s interactions had little or no effect on the situation. In this case we made changes but still ended up with the same results. We tried something but still did not make a change. We gambled but hedged our bet and suffered little or the same lose. But if it was partially cased by our life styles and we changed to correct it, then we did the right thing. We made the right bet. The third choice is we have contributed greatly to global warming. Now we make changes that could avert the problem or at least slow it down to maintain a quality of life for future generations.
My best analogy would be a person that smokes. You are told cigarette smoking is a leading cause of lung cancer and heart disease, but you refuse to listen and instead try to find or seek out information that tends to discount or refute others findings. You are told by your doctor you must quit before it is too late; but you feel fine and enjoy smoking. What you don’t see is the slow deterioration of your health until one day you go to the doctor’s office feeling run down and tired. After numerous tests the results come back, lung cancer. The next bad news is the doctor tells you it is very advance and aggressive and there is little they can do to stop its growth. You now have a very short time to live and what is left will be very painful for you and your family. A simple change could have added years to your life, more time to be with your loved ones and them to be with you. A selfish act of enjoyment, something you could have changed to make life for you and those around you better and you refused to do it.
You can make any decision you like, but is your decision based on facts, or because you don’t like the people stating the facts. Do you choose to discount global warming because you find nothing to support it or because of your dislike of Al Gore and refusing to believe anything he says as Truth? If this is your way of rationalizing a problem, them I’m guessing you have made many errors in judgment in the past and will continue to make them in the future.

I suggest you lead by example...sell your boat (it's not helping the air at all), turn your heat down to 58, quit driving your tow rig and start cultivating your own vegetables (afterall it takes farm machinery to farm this stuff), ride your bike and walk. Come back in a year and tell us how you did.

Prove it... For every climate scientist that says the earth is warming there is one or more that won't agree...

WE and our "carbon footprint" are a mere SPEC of dust on a SPEC of dust relative to the atomosphere and our planet earth...

What about WATER vapor and it's effect on climate change??? What is the GREATEST green house gas of all (besides Al Gores hot air)???

You may want to get off your high horse before you get a nose bleed. :)hand

Selfish, no. Using common sense, yes.

The people on earth have been taking accurate temperature and weather readings for only 150 yrs or so? Boy that makes for some accuracy, huh? :)sphss

Didn't they use to grow grapes for wine in the UK many, many years ago, and now it's too cold?

Our Heavenly Father is in control of our climate, not Al Gore. Is it changing from time to time? Of course! Who is responsible for the largest concerns environmentally? That would be God again as volcanoes have depleted more of our ozone than man ever could and He maintains the balance far better than even the great Al Gore.

I think Al is either jealous of God or wants to be him. hil:)

Not a believer in that man is affecting the climate much at all, but do believe in cycles.

What you are witnessing is the creation of a new market here- without an EMERGENCY how do you force companies to pay trillions of dollars in fee, fines, redesigns, and on new regulation? - you cant. you NEED TO CREATE AN EMERGENCY.

The Emergency is nothing more than marketing.

Mr Gore although receiving little to no salary from his endeavors has huge interest in the form of ownership of stocks of companies vying for your clean energy money.

The vostok ice core formations proved that co2 follows heat- not the other way around.

In other word the heat/cold thing is a cycle powered by our sun.
Are we helping- No

Now- do I do what I can to conserve -yes
Do I think energy efficiency is good business -yes,
Am I a supporter of efficiency with my own dollars- yes.

Is this a GLOBAL EMERGENCY- not at all.

Creating an EMERGENCY out of this is charlatanism at is highest.

Not only am I interested in passing my children/grandchildren and beyond less debt but I also wish them to have clean water, a balanced environment and common sense legislation. Why aren't you? Great question!

It makes perfect sense to take sensible measures to insure we have no more "Love Canals" etc. but it's an absolute fact that Al Gore will not effect my thinking about reality. I'm at a loss as to why you two won't denounce his lunacy but instead will follow his rhetoric off the proverbial cliff.

Thanks - trying to enlighten those that maybe have only picked out highlights from the biased media.

The Vostok data is the smoking gun to the man made CO2 emergency hysteria.

I admire you for treading lightly and strive to be as economical and efficient as possible

Im in no way an I advocating being wasteful is smart, just that Al Gore has a very well defined agenda that involves more than making money on books and lectures - it involves creating a whole new way to get at YOUR money.

As someone else mentioned none of this seems to keep Al off the G5's, so why should it bother me?
