I suppose Rod won't be posting up any more "Thanks Barrack" remarks about gas prices much less praise his hero Jerry Brown for the catastrophic failure he has proven to be in office as crap like this is passed.

To think that people actually believe buying higher mpg vehicles would save you money. The proof is in the pudding, lower revenues=higher taxes.

gas tax

They mentioned road tax in the article ..... If they don't put some of the "ROAD TAX" into our roads, we won't be able to drive on them if we could afford to buy the fuel. Our roads are shit.:))ThumbsDwn

I wouldnt be surprised if more taxes are in the works for gas. They will claim they are losing a lot of money with hybrids and with high mpg vehicles these days.

Agree, the roads are crap. I have said all along. Do away with Caltrans and the roads would improve and improvements would be faster.

Agree, when Bush was in office the news media was all over it.

Remember, your hero took office with gas prices at an average $1.77 nationally.

Not sure what the President has to do with the State BOE raising the tax but you can have that one if you want Doc. After all, the "shellacking" never quite transpired did it.

3.5% hurts when you buy gas everyday! Can't wait to get out of CA!
It is 3.5 cents on a gallon of gas, not 3.5% on top of the dollar amount.

Well in my area it will raise the price of Regular to about $4.45. Again a tax that will only effect the working people and business.
So you are paying $4.41/gallon now?

Again, Rod you didn't respond to the substance of this thread.

While California has indeed raised a couple percent on top of the already disastrous price of fuel, you completely sidestepped the substance of the question which was fuel prices - so I referred to your "Thanks Barrack" thread where you credited your Kenyan hero with reduced fuel prices and reminded you that your Kenyan hero took office with an average fuel price of $1.77 per gallon which we haven't seen since. How do you explain this economic disaster Rod?
It was you who credited your Kenyan hero with fuel price reduction in your thread so please explain the chart to us all. It's impossible to ignore the fact that your hero took office at the bottom! Do tell us all Rod.

Don't waste my time with your inability to grasp reality Doc. If the President had that much control over gas prices we would have been paying much less prior to the election. Further, if everything you claim were true, we would be at $6.00 /gallon right now. You remember exactly what that thread was about, or sadly, maybe you don't.

You never seem to have a problem with taxes being raised no matter what it is or for. Funny thing is Cal has been stealling it's tranpotation taxes to fund all of it's liberal BS, and now they are going to take more in the name of transportation, and not do shit to the roads. And then they will want more transportation taxes siting bad raod conditions and you will support it.

Good grief. That's $1.20 more than it is here. Gotta pay for that climate somehow I guess.
