Bore x Bore x Stroke x .7854 x # of cylinders.

4.56 x 4.56 = 20.7936 x 4.5 = 93.5712 x .7854 = 73.4908 x 8 = 587.92656ci

There are a couple of ways to do the calculation. I always do it this way:

Bore/2 = r (radius) x r x pi (3.1416) x stroke X #of cylinders.

So : 4.56/2= 2.280x2.280 (r sq) x 3.1416 (pi) x4.5 (stroke) x 8 = 587.92 cu.in

Hope that helps.

I don't know about a dart block but my 10.2 gm block needed to be clearanced a couple of places for my 4.375 arm. I'd be suprised if Barry didn't have a good deal on a tall block.

found a few 9.8 decks near that price, but no tall decks. my uncle is ready to upgrade his block from the ole m4 125 dealio to a nice block, so i suggested we pick up a few more cubes while we're at it

We are a Dart WD give me a call. Dart blocks use 2 piece rear main seals so your Mark IV crank will work.
