Aint that the truth!
Funny you post this Don..... I'm already planning on going up in the Mirage. I wish there was a class I could race it in! If they have a decent turnout of SST 120 boats I'm thinking about having RJ build me one this winter and go racing next year. :)devil
where exactly is this taking place? I would love to see the show. Lets make this happen by water.
By the looks of the map, I think its on the same channel as the Ryde hotel. I'am in for a ride. Gotta start saving money for gas, that will be a long weekend.

The 120 class is starting to pick up a bit I think. The Revolutions are a bitchen boat.
races

The map and notes say they will be held in front of the town of Isleton. That is the channel that runs from the main river North of Rio Vista, and runs past Isleton, the Ryde hotel and into Walnut Grove.

The nearest launch is Viera's, and they don't have much room.

My brother has property just south of the Ryde Hotel. Own boat dock could handle 6 boats. (5 plus his).

wonder if we can see them from boats, or have to be on shore.

its better to watch from shore, they close the river between races and they keep you back pretty far, plus if you watch from shore you can walk the pits.see you there:)devil

I talked to RJ about it last week and it looks like there are starting to be some guys in California w/ 120 boats. I guess we'll see at the race just how many show up! If there's a decent amount of guys running 120s I'll probably get into one. I'd definetly go with a Revolution. I've known RJ a long time and I'm sure he builds a great boat. The only thing that will suck is having to race against him in his own boat! Plus, all the experience he has is going to be really tough to get around. Are you going to the races? I'm taking my Mirage up there for sure - both days. It's gonna' be a long weekend w/ Hooky Day on Friday.......

I raced with him in the 45 class. Great guy and like you said...lots of experience. I saw him a couple weeks ago racing down in Long Beach. He helped me alot while I was in the 45.

I didn't know you were still racing a 45! Are you going to be racing at Isleton? If you are, do you need any help in the pits that weekend? I plan to be there both days.
I am all about the pit help for these boats. Just let me know the skinny as we get closer.

I thought you were racing on asphalt and put the water racing back to DLB style?

Racer
No, I am not still running these. I was down in Long Beach for the Catalina ski race and they were running these across the way.
so I am up for this to go and watch... Never seen these in action before.
