Mc Clure H2O level

I havent been there to see it but you can bet it is low. It wont start to fill up until the snow melts(april -may) if it fills up! I dont know where your from but all of the lakes here in the valley are water shed lakes. Their water level is determined by snow fall. Last year Eastman, and Hensley never got to 1/2 capacity. They should have been full by June. Its looking grimm again this year. not much snowfall. I'll ask around see what I can find out. The only lake that I know of that is always full is Merced lake (Yosemite lake). Water comes straight out of Yosemite Valley and is always ice cold. PEACE!

I drove by the week after Christmas, I had not been there for a long time. Always remember it being in a state of low and filling. But this time I saw bridge supports coming out of the water at least 25ft that I remember boating over. I was at Barret cove the ramp by the camp sites.
Went by Don Pedro. Was low also.
Oroville only had a 4x4 lauch off of dirt open at the Dam.
Plan to take a drive this weekend to see if any improvement.

So how is Don Pedro? we have always thought about throwing the boat in on the way home from Mc Clure

very cool , thank you . We take a trip here at least 1 or 2xs a year during the summer . the last 2 years were pretty bad , now 3 years ago it was probably the most water I have ever seen in it. Awesome place to go ,wish it was'nt so far for us.

Don Pedro is bigger and has more open water but still plenty of coves. 16 mile run from Flemming meadows to Moccasin Point. The water fall is where the party is at. But not unless the water comes up. Doesn't have Counter clockwise rule like McLure.

It's hard to describe where the water fall is. I believe it's called Gardner falls if you have a good map. Starting from Flemming meadows and heading for Moccasin point. The fall is about six miles from Flemming and on the the right hand side. it's behind a small island so you have to cruise close to shore or it's easy to go right past it. I can't find a decent map on line or I could show you real clearly. Or just follow any tuna boat full of drunk flat billers.

Water was low last time I went and was rapidly going down. That was a few years ago. I am hoping these lakes are getting good amounts of water, since most of these storms moved right over Merced and Madera foothills. Should have dropped alot of water into them as well as primed the snow pack.

I guess we'll see what we'll see.

That's it. Last winter we parked 8 houseboats right at the base of the waterfall. We were close enough to get a little wet. Very cool. On holiday weekends it very much like a smaller version of the sandbar at Havisu. Loud, crazy, fun with lots of girls doing drunk girl things.

when the water is up , its the best lake I've ever been to . No crowds and you can ski all day long
