The Fat Man will be busy in court and Shreveport will be footing the bill I'd wager. Big old lard asse ought to have better things to do with his job then to harass citizens.:|err

Fricken sad state of affairs indeed.

On another note.. WOW the responses get totally off topic fast. Who the frick cares about eating meat and why, when our 2nd amendment rights are being violated. It's no surprise that these types of actions are taking place. There are no threads holding the fabric of our constitution together. Our rights are being stripped away one by one.

I hope that fat *** mayor chokes on a porkchop.

Sad to see this stuff happening in our beautiful country. The rest of the nation needs to take notice of whats happening there since thats what is going to be happening everywhere.

Exactly.

"To Protect and Serve"

One of the LE on this board says something to the effect of, "he will defend the constitution" when given orders to round up gun owners or their weapons. Blah, blah, blah.

I laughed at that and say he'll just be another sheep "following orders" and do as he is told to do by his superior officers.

Whatever that may be.

Hey, it's only a gun. He probably got it back anyway. If he didn't, he can always go buy another one. How else do you expect the govt. to protect us from domestic terrorists? What if this guy turned out to be a terrorist? You guys need to lighten up about this stuff. Life is good. It's summertime. Why is this a big deal anyway? There are more important issues like health care, and protecting the planet. So long as you still have your 7 digits of cash, 2 homes and boat, it's all good. These are the important things. America is the freest, greatest nation in the world and is only getting better. It will continue to be FOREVER!

I think I just made myself sick a little bit.:)st

Seriously, what a blathering, non sequitur windbag this mayor is. :|err Every official involved in this needs to lose his job. And where's Bobby J on this? Here's the audio conversation of the Mayor and Robert Baillio. I think we're going to start seeing more and more of this kind of thing.

After listening to the "Mayor", it's readily apparent Shreveport needs to make a change. Lots of bullying and frankly a total disrespect for the citizens that he serves. Be interesting to have this one go to court......

Problem is, as with many other issues like this, is you have to have the COIN to throw away at the city sticking their nose in your business.

You are taking up suit with them, in their courts, against their laws.

That's why we need a conservative version of the ACLU. If this had been one of the deals the Left typically gets all wrapped up in, you know there would be some shyster civil rights lawyers financed by tax exemtpted special interest groups.

Times they are a changin' and we are going to need to finance our challenges of the loss of rights to the "Imperial Leadership". The Fat Myor invoked O's name enough times to indicate where he stands.......

This is the kind of case the NRA will get ahold of (if they haven't already) and they'll pick the fat right off the fat man. Unfortunately, you won't her about it unless you look for it.
This really isn't what's happening cross the country, it's an isolated extreme incident, and a big mistake on their part, but our rights are being attacked in the courts. Even the fat Mayor has to operate within the law, and he'll answer if he doesn't.
It's the laws they're trying to change, but that's proving to be a tought fight, even in this Obama Pelosi/Reid environment. There have been some recent 2nd Amm. victories that indicate there is still some strength there, mostly because the people are waking up and putting pressure on their respective gov't officials, and their voices are being heard.
Don't be afraid to let your local and state officials know where you stand on this...it's the only strength....it's THE strength we have. JMO.

I listened to all 20 minutes of the recorded conversation. I'm reallly not sure what the problem is as far as the cops holding the guys gun durring the stop. They gave it back to him and sent him on his way with no citation. I was under the impression from the article that the gun was not returned. The mayor isn't really a very bright bulb but after listening to all 20 minutes, in the end this is how it is done all throughout the country. Honestly what the cops did durring Katrina in New Orleans is a hell of alot more of an invasion of rights. ( going house to house confiscating arms) If the premise is that the guy being stopped was singled out or profiled because of a bumper sticker I think it is a weak case. I personally don't like being stopped for a petty reason but it is what it is. Alot will need to change before this practice is curtailed.
